Nine Lives Spent

My thoughtful vet phoned to say that my cat was not dead, just asleep, permanently.

This is such a cute way of saying things! Indeed an understanding and clever vet. The image and poem brought a smile to me.

Thank you very much Valsa, sometimes a bit of tact is needed to soften the truth. Tom

Reminded me of a joke I heard years ago, a sargeant major goes into a bullet and shouts at the soldiers to stand up if they've got parents, then said to jones "sit down" talk about tact .

Hi Tom, I've had cats in the past. But I don't have any pets now. But I do remember the sadness I felt when I lost them, it's like losing a family member. This form is similar to the monku form.Well done:-) Alexis

Thank you Alexis, have had to have pets put to sleep due to illness and you're right, they do become part of the family. Tom
