Silly Soliloquy

In the first place
without a second thought
down at the pub on third street
your prejudice shines forth.
When ever you partake of that fifth
one doesn’t need a sixth sense
to know you’re not in seventh heaven.
If you were a cat you’d be on number eight
of the nine lives you had already wasted.
Bob, if I’ve told you once, I’ve told you ten,
Try to control this impetuous pen!

Ah, so clever, Rob. Love the way you worked in all the numbers and made a great point as well. But please let your impetuous pen write on, my friend! Love, Carolyn

Your pen is best left uncontrolled. I like your construct of this poem; and I tried for a clever 'eleven' for you, but couldn't.
