Premium Member Baby Dropped Six Feet On Ground

Your baby dropped six foot to the ground?
Head first with no midwife around?
She nodded her head.
More than enough said.
Her new baby giraffe was easily found

Mother-To-Be

Mother-To-Be
Dr. James E. Martin
©May, 2013

A mother-to-be was she.
She was happy as she could be.
A new baby boy,
Would bring her much joy,
If only she weren’t seventy three.

I peep …
Asleep

He cries
Mum sighs

He’s wet
Get set

Feed time
Sublime

At breast -
it's best!

Crappy

Big poops
Mum scoops

He’s mine

Heartbeat

head upon her chest
i listen to her heartbeat
blessed miracle

deep within her womb
another heart is beating
new life beginning

my heart overflows
excitement is bubbling
for the new baby

Premium Member I Have No Belief In a Higher Power

I have no belief in a higher power
But you believe in children?
Yes
A new baby?
Sure
A tulip?
Of course

But you have no belief in a higher power?
None.
I do not know where to go from here actually.

Birds Overcome By Snow

Birds Overcome By Snow

Saw birds being overcome by the snow,
Appearing not to have any place to go;
Saved from scorn;
A new baby born;
Found way to barn where light did glow.

It was the face of Jesus.

Premium Member Congratulations

I received many get well cards
When I returned to work.

My favorite one said, “Mrs. K,
Congratulations on your new baby.”

I’m 65.

I really wish it had been signed,

But of course, it was one of the
32 that weren’t.

Welcome New Baby

Welcome my baby welcome,
Yes, be a great read, come,

Tell the world your big bold tale,
Your birth is greater than a sale,

Surely, the dead must be sobbing,
Be a rude awakening to the robbing!

On My Bench

People amble, stroll or strut
To get some air or maybe
To do some chores or kill some time
Or walk with a new baby.

Still, others jog or run as fast
As feet allow (that’s very!),
Perhaps for exercise, but likely
Just to catch the ferry.

Spring
Sun shine
Approaching
To warm the days
New baby lambs born
With cool breezes blowing.
Sweet perfume filling the air
Colorful blooms are everywhere
The Kookaburra laughs like a clown
Jasmine spills across the wall round the tree.

Premium Member Baby Needs a Place To Think

Shh said the Tallywacker agent
this new baby needs a place to think
we dream mongers and sand throwers tiptoed out
understanding the need for baby to clear his mind
sorting out his past two or three lifetimes
in order to fully enjoy this incarnation
