Spring Etheree

Spring 
Sun shine
Approaching 
To warm the days
New baby lambs born
With cool breezes blowing.
Sweet perfume filling the air
Colorful blooms are everywhere
The Kookaburra laughs like a clown
Jasmine spills across the wall round the tree.

Love this visually delightful spring poem dear Wen. The picture is gorgeous too. You have captured all the glory of spring. I would love to see and hear a Kookaburra! That last line, in particular evokes such a happy feeling as you picture jasmine spreading its beauty! Many congratulations with your win in the contest. Hope you have had a lovely, peaceful Sunday. They look like a dowdy brown brother of the kingfisher, Chris and their call really does sound like they are laughing. Jasmine is my favorite part of spring. I don't cut it back in our garden, I let it grow every where and at the first sign of spring when those tiny white flowers appear, the perfume comes in the house and to the delight of our neighbors it fills the air all around with perfume. Thank you for that lovely comment my friend.

So beautiful how youv written your etheree! I love the descriptive flow of your lines. And the way youv painted imagery: the last line however i think you wanted to write “ jasmine” .. its always good to read your work. Thank you for your kind comments on my poems while i was away.
