Tossed At Sea

Seamen of HMS Dribble
Take Sundays off just to quibble
They all enjoy
The Cabin boy
But which of them gets "First Nibble"?

Scan Der Navy An

“In Sweden”, our host did proclaim
“We all eat a whole lot of game
Not chicken or goose
But reindeer and moose
And we eat it with no sense of shame”

Celebrity's At Old Navy

At the check out I did a double take,
when I saw them my heart did palpitate,
Popeye the sailor,
Olive enamored,
Bluto stalking Olive wanting a date.

Navy Winter Blues

Navy Winter Blues

What we have heard from latest news,
The Navy no longer wears winter blues;
Not impressed;
Were depressed;
Do have new ones that they now use.

Premium Member Cletus O'Toole's Navy Career Sank Sans a Trace

Cletus joined the Navy on a fool whim

And was told he needed to learn to swim

He was launched off the dock

And he sank like a rock

The Navy straightaway got rid of him

Unity In The Stands

In crisp fall air, a crowd's joyful football roar
Trump stands with a smile, a leader to adore
With banners flying Army, Navy-- the rivalry's fierce
A moment in time, where spirit won't cease

Navy Blue Tears 2k12

Navy blue tears
expelling...
Navy blue tears
welling...
Navy blue tears
falling...
A higher power
calling!

Navy blue tears
caressing lips...
Navy blue tears
as heart rips...
Navy blue tears...
no longer;
Navy blue tears...
have made I stronger.

Navy An White

Navy and white plates
coloured in my love for you
black and white
flawless in everyway

One hit and your perfection
is broken in shards

Scattered
with no home
between
caffeine and tears
Perfection lost the war

Flawed shards now
coloured
in depths of love

Premium Member dreaming daughter

dreaming daughter ascends starlit harbor....
to her father's biding love

he is as she remembered....jovial in the
way he was on earth

they embrace in the twilight....stars fill
their tearful moonlight eyes

navy dad once....now on god's deployment
awaits final reunion

Premium Member She Is Not Just Any Old Ship

She is not just any old ship.
She is a warrior, tried and true.
USS Iowa.
I have a plethora of stories about her.
That I share with no one.
For to share would feel like being dismissive.
I cannot dishonor her by disclosing her secrets.
It would feel also like diminishing my time served.

Navy Turtleneck

He wore a navy turtleneck
And man, he looked so cute,
An observation, I believe,
Nobody would dispute.

I can’t recall my outfit -
Don’t know if it factored in -
But on that night, our lives together
Somehow did begin.

Today we both remember
How our smiles were set aglow
On that February seventh
Forty-three short years ago.

Navy Man

He claims to be a Navy man
The game scream catch me if you can
I won't fall for that hoax again
, can you take it on the chin,?

, wanted loved and thought I'd found
Love requires that you come around
,, at least come long enough to talk
, hurry now you must not balk

I will not engage in
, anything Akin to sin
But if you would hold my heart
Wedding Bells with just the start

To The Forgotten

Military history is written by the victors.
Generals and politicians who stamp
their names on the pages of books
written by men and women in ivory towers.

It is actually made by the common:
legionnaire, dog face, doughboy, airman,
seaman and marine. Most names unknown
to those that write the histories.

But every name a known part of a life story
to a mother, father, spouse or child who’ve
watched their loved ones go off to help
someone else make history.
