Cletus O'Toole's Navy Career Sank Sans a Trace

Cletus joined the Navy on a fool whim

And was told he needed to learn to swim

He was launched off the dock

And he sank like a rock

The Navy straightaway got rid of him

Many may call O'Toole a fool but that would be cruel because something about the man is a rule for laughter .... I give up on rhyming my comment. My brain is still in laugh mode. Three for Three, Bob - what can I say except write more??? Poetry hugs ... CayCay

G'day Bob … Cletus might have to take up scuba diving and reapply for the navy then, or better still; an anchor - thanks again Bob - Lindsay

No worries, I think Cletus has 9 lives (lol) at least 9. Keep em coming, Bob. My dad was in the Navy from 1942-1945. Hope you are doing well. Charlie

That was a cheap 'get rid of.' Probably left him sunk right where he was. LOL. Will Cletus be rescued? I'll stay tuned. Thanks, Bob! :)

oh, poor cletus! very funny, bob! i never thought about that, actually - do people in the navy have to be able to swim? you'd think they would, but would they actually not be allowed to join up if they couldn't? i'm curious...
