Rain
Pours down
My galoshes
Become stuffed with feet
As I ready myself to
Jump into all the mud puddles on my street
Drive nails in the stud
Priming over stains and crud
Floating beds of mud

“Margaret Thatcher you ain’t!”
“You ain’t old Reagan in paint!”
slinging mud
with a thud
terrible taunts tossed to taint
Mud from head to toe
Pair of lovers and best friends
Together through all :)

. . . gray mist whiffs low
egret, buffalo's back
weeds green, mud black . . .
This one called that one a crook;
That one called this one a dud.
Neither could be clearly seen,
Once they were done slinging mud.
rain
last night
mud puddles
new black rain boots
jumping and splashing
children's delight
soaking wet
hot bath
nap
Whining
dried eye sockets from
imaginary losses
conceived in the mind
spilled tears in the murky soil
forming ripples in the mud
mud, first sign of spring
earth's pudding bubbling with life
tiny buds simmer

Justice needs moderation
Voices' dialed-down modulation
When the mob screams for blood
The Rule of Law's dragged through the mud
Feet
stick
on soil
just like knives
screaming homicide
to a burdened inspector man;
the earth is murdering my ankles, and I like it.
red breasts aurora

MUD
water
mixed with dirt
in early childhood
on my knees happily
I formed mud pies with my hand
“the outdoors was my first kitchen”
debra treepickle has a vice
two green pockets of mean mud mice
confronted by us
one day on a bus
pulls out a bird of paradise.
Halo round the full Moon
Frogs croak air smelling fresh mud
It rains cats and dogs

muddy past
mud and sticks mounded
before the solstice tinged moon

Leaves circle around with the season's wind
Flowing across and through the skies
As fog gathers on mushy grass
Releasing the odor of the mud
wet earth smells of mud
small frog swings on garden gate
creaking in the breeze
cool rain drops tap his eyelids
he sees what he wants to see
The playful child jumps
Over the murky puddle –
His smile is genuine.
Old man drives his bike
Over the dirty puddle –
the wife’s dress has mud.
One wild happy-go-lucky senryu
Was caught impersonating a haiku
They levied no fines
But removed two lines
Now she's a stick-in-the-mud monoku
flitter flutter floozy flood
fluent flowing in forever mud
flummadiddle fairy, frenzy flowing
Where is all this featherheaded foolishness going?
