MUD

MUD
water
mixed with dirt

in early childhood
on my knees happily
I formed mud pies with my hand

“the outdoors was my first kitchen”

perfect "pyraMUD", Andrea. Your last line is a marvelous transition from small fry fun to skill with a skillet. Congrats on your fine piece and placement.

Dear Andrea, such a sweet splash of childhood joy and I could practically feel the squish of wet earth between my fingers. Blessings, My Dear Andrea, Daniel

I love this one, Andrea! It brought back so many wonderful memories of mixing dirt and water as a child to make mud! Love John's comment and I love to shape clay into fun forms! Best wishes for the contest! Blessings!

Wonderful twist at the end! For me I love the connection of the joy of youth with joy in the kitchen, which I’m happy to make a mess in!
