Easter Mourn

those that have gone,
to billowy sky, to Jesus side.

Spring is born.
new creation.

Easter eggs, found.
blessings abound.

Tear laden relatives mourn
Today, heavy hearts
Tomorrow, spirits will lift
Whilst the living remember

Mourn Lines

Why I'ma blue class das
Heaves off weight
Glass paings, cement trix
Uppa game
Leaves under trough
All circumvent no plow?

Gotta plan on does
Mookie curfew

May Weep and Mourn

May Weep and Mourn

Even though we may weep and morn,
Hear people and how they will warn,
Here and there,
Do take care;
To save us from sin. Christ was born.

Premium Member Mourn For Glory

Are we to mourn for glory long past
or just be thankful, though gone so fast
Should we fight to keep
what was once ours to give
or perhaps just reflect and relive ,
relive

Grief

Like a bruise melting from blue to black, grief shows up slowly,
Appearing in the steam of coffee once shared, a laugh similar,
Yet as scabs heal back to pink flesh, grief’s ache dulls with time.

Premium Member How I Mourn

Another loved one went to glory
And grief like mighty breakers fell.
Emptiness and sorrow followed
And fitting words, no one could tell.
Nothing need be said in times like these,
So let me be in silence…please.

Premium Member Mourn Tapestry

The icons are falling
As idols are rising
Perhaps for their gifts
Being spared coming rifts

For the poets we grieve
Are of this fabric's weave
They are this tapestry
The fibre of our society

And they have marked us so indelibly

Seasons To Mourn

And no summer came…
calendar frozen, cold winds still in play

And no summer came…
the birds and butterflies staying away

And no summer came…
expressions of love buried in the frost

And no summer came…
seasons to mourn every day that we’ve lost

Premium Member A Bed Is a Fallen Tree

This bed’s supporting limbs
do not sleep like the log
			they were cut from.
			Dreaming of that splintering
			they mourn when I move,
			remembering leaves
			and caressing breeze.
			Now down for the count
			and holding a heaviness
			of flesh and bone,
			they can only moan.

Premium Member Blessed Are Those That Mourn

In Christ
     In Christ,I live
His kingdom lives within;
  blind once
  now,I see,
sin,that He could see.

Sorrow-filled
each day,I miss the mark,
wander from the path,
  in ashes,soiled,I lie;
  to Him alone
  my cry.

     In Christ
     In Christ,I live,
elsewhere..I would die.

I Mourn With You Professor

I MOURN WITH YOU PROFESSOR
Shadow and mirage are thesame;
The former is never a substance
And the latter never an oasis.
But the death of a child is both:
Hope is dashed and respite betrayed
Leaving only behind the pain of rising utility
That often comes from the nostalgia of reality...
I mourn with you Professor.

Sing the Soul, Sing

Sing. And mourn.
Yes, we do these things.
We are told so to do.
There are songs and sadness.
We bring the two –
the melody, the mourning –
together. As one.

You passed from me, of course,
and I seek comfort
in bringing song to the soul,
the soul that is now melody
but is a mourning.

Ancient powers forever lost
Mourn their passing
When time stands still.
Wander over hill and dale
March along the river's edge
On no occasion to be found.
Again, sweet song sung by the water
Beauty's incarnation to see the light nevermore.

Hugs to hearts in need of healing
Hugs to all in crisis yet dealing
Hugs to all who mourn or are in despair
Know where I and others fail you
God will take care and be there
This little poem is from my heart
It rings like a phone blings like art
It's like the song birds sing in part
For it only can be heard online via purple hearts

I Mourn With You Virginia Tech.

He wrote of death and spoke in whispers
His troubled mind squirmed like and eel,
Yet no one knew of the evil he planned
Or of the hate that he was inclined to feel.
Horror rained heavy on the people that day
Who experienced shear terror and pain,
For this diabolical subhuman
Unleashed his misanthropic rage
Causing anguish that will not soon wane.

Mourn the Poems

a page is such a cold place
pen has a sage who delves for inner face truth's
the page entrances with silent mocking
word thought dances just outside the blocking
the sage thirsty now craves sweet success
but only digs graves in the sheets of paper white
mourn the poems never born
sorrowful worlds in the words
sage now sleepwalking
his empty words never talking

Motherless

I wake in sweats
Drenched in the regrets
Of a desert womb
This empty tomb
Where lie the never born
Whom I may never mourn
Never mourn this constant lack
That has me forever in deepest black
Never sit and talk beside their graves
For I can never bury the bodiless babes
Never sit and silently pray
For what dies inside me every day.

Premium Member -Eternally Mourn

Reflecting on years gone by
Hefty sorrow anchors my soul
Each time one of you left
My heart was left less whole

The world turns and times they change
I am living my new norm
I try to live my best life
Though for you I eternally mourn

My focus is right now and onwards
With avoidance to dwell
Yet sorrow endlessly haunts me
Despite reluctantly bidding you farewell

Blessed are those who mourn, for they will be comforted.

—Matthew 5:4

WE WHO MOURN

what death has done
to my mom -
shady.
in a comatose state,
her last breath
brings one tear
that clings to
the corner of her eye.
final hugs and kisses.
she knows we’re all there.
nothing to do
but walk away
and remember my sweetheart of a mom -
forever.

Mourn

Mourn
Oh I fear the Death of love!
For you to snatch away,
the very people hold so dear,
take me instead you beast.

Afraid of salted tears that wound,
the memories bleed astray.
Let go your grip you dastard Death!
Take someone else instead.

Oh I fear you’ll come for them too soon!
Then whatever shall I do?
To mourn the gentle Death of flesh,
take me instead — oh please!

Aim To Smile, Not To Mourn

J-ust aim to smile, not to mourn,

N-o reason to cry and agonize, neither walking out nor losing track.

A-lthough there is failure;
U-nfazed in spite of loss,
