REMOVING SHOES!
-Dharga Nagar Safa
Monsoon rain pouring,
Roads flooded,
School children removing their shoes!
Sea Banks lending water loans,
Time to time to the Sky customers,
And,
Recovering in one payment,
During monsoon times!
kids frolicking
raindrops replenish puddles
umbrellas sulk still
~Haiku contest by chris D Aechtner
sun scorched barren hills
drape in cloud of monsoon rains ...
verdant carpet spreads
September 25, 2018
gray clouds swell overhead-
pouring tears of great relief…
drenching parched cactus.

Borrego Springs welcome monsoon storms
Darkening blue skies in black swarms

Step out on a treeless plain,
Earth scoured with monsoon ruts.
It's not that we never learn,
Just not fast enough!
Attempting to smooth and comb my hair
My fist shatters the mirror-- splintered and bear
It shows how much I despise my hairdos
In Summer,rest in nude,Mahaweli river,
Soon monsoon,very rude,dressed in water!
(Mahaweli, the longest river in Sri Lanka)
monsoon yet to come
bay of Bengal is depressed
storm-tossed tide and ebb

As the monsoon drops
Regardless of ifs and buts
Moistened my window
The devotion gave way to
A blue infatuation
July 10, 2018
heavy dew
clings to the branches--
monsoon season
note:
monsoons are rain storms common in Africa, Asia and Australia
and it all runs off
like a desert wash
after the monsoon rain
debris left in dry arroyos
hazard signs to remind
remnants of the storm
Eyes shine like moon
Envelopes like cocoon
Face of teary monsoon
Mourning loss of life
Reeling difficult time
Healing not in sight
Prehistoric people built Stonehenge
The rumors about this never end.
Predicting the moon
Sun or monsoon
Spiritual place on a road with a bend
Bare, brown, dry grass
Monsoon rain green white sprouts like
A small umbrella
Small fungi around
Hidden from view to naked
Eye, microscopic
stinging rain, and wind
pounding loudly my tin roof....
drones in changing pitch
Jun 14 2010 For Paula's "Monsoon" contest
Southwest monsoon held its blow,
The dark sky turned clear to view;
The clouds were as white as snow,
The ocean became so blue.

monsoon clouds hover
over my burdens and pains
wafting breeze lilts..."fly!"
fly to your destiny -
sprinkled hopes came with the rain

The black little spot,
On the white ceiling,
Moving about in slow motion,
Like an ancient dhow during monsoon,
So little so moving so black so soft.
Some call me Majnun
Unpredictable Monsoon
When Eye Step In, Eye read the room
You don't know me, so don't assume
Enlightened Eye rise, Illuminated Eye bloom.
Poseidon’s spear slashed out from the angry waves
A tumultuous monsoon began to gather up the sea
The faerie folk went into hiding
When they saw army of sea cupids
with the monsoon rains,
a green June bug came whirring,
to our living room~
my smart cat after playing,
gulped down this hapless victim.
You eagerly
awaited
the monsoon
like a peacock.
It now rains.
You sing
in a bog
in joy,
you leap
in the fen
like a monkey
and swim
in waters
like a fish.
A collection of ‘Love is…’ Poetry - Monsoon
Love is poetry.
Love is my world.
Give me good loving,
So that I can build.
