My life, my love, moments lasting, making memories, lessons learned, I listen most leisurely, methodically, meticulously, light-heartedly, laughing magnanimously.

Premium Member Pulling Me Gently

pulling me gently
into a quagmire
not in a quicksand way
but slowly
methodically
sneakily
steadily
until I disappear
into wet cement
forgetting
I ever
was

Serenity

Listen to the water
as it flows harmonically
over rocks methodically
I'm in a symphony.
In the mist of mother natures
grandest imagery.

Trapped In Love

I can no longer go here or go there;
My heart disallows me.
Unless, you command it differently.
Methodically, anxiously, my will goes to waste.
I cannot do without you.
My heart is yours, indefinitely.

You're my sweet bunny
I see your nose is runny
Here, drink some honey

Spider crawls on sink
Slowly, methodically
Eyes, that quickly blink

Sun, opens its eyes,
As tears fall from the wet skies
Flowers don't ask why

Samba Rhythms

Samba Rhythms resonating through the jasmine hedges,
while lads and lasses sip fruity drinks with colorful umbrellas
in them,
The natives hustle to the samba rhythms,
exchanging partners methodically,
The synchronicity is enchanting,
A night of frivolity and gaiety,
in a forgotten war torn country......

Dogs of S Poor-Division Is Unholy

sanguine pillars of
fabricated strength
leaning on the altar
of gregarious breath
brown dogs are drinking
pages of history written
by the winners of deceit

What Is a Sonnet

confusing tensions
psychopathic maladjustments
forbidden love
in sequestrated caves

imminent war of thoughts
methodically organised

shocking truths

carpet of a bleeding heart
pastures of inhibited love
meadows of unfilled longings

The Chess Master

His ability to do several things at once
Was one of the qualities she loved about him
Today he was watching a Burt Reynolds movie
While playing a game of computer chess
The computer gaining a momentary advantage
Did not seem to bother him at all
Always thinking at least three moves ahead
He slowly and methodically reached over
Lowering the chess computers IQ 700%

Premium Member The Hourglass

Mankind's finite days, as minute grains of sand. Methodically exit the hourglass, That God possesses in hand. Mankind fathoms not hours, nor discerns time of day. Nor perceives what God, has chosen as parting way. But when hourglass is empty, and judgment day's at hand. excuses then, will not subsist, Nor will God grant more sand. Ecclesiastes 11;3

Premium Member Forgiving Isnt Forgetting

Forgiving Isn’t Forgetting Written: by Tom Wright 7-25-2016 We’ve oft times said that we forgive, But reflections, we frequently retain. We methodically bring back to relive, As if emblazoned within our brain; Hopefully, forgiveness comes in time, For things which we hold in reserve; While we feel subjected to a crime, That’s often better than we deserve.

Making Love To a Marlboro

Almost naked except
A dangling Marlboro cigarette

Expertly stroking his lover
Fingers caress a slender body

Methodically engulfing aroma
The sweet smell of sex

Swollen lips surround
Waves of rapture quiver

Eyelashes and eyeballs flutter
Sinking into oblivion

Head bobbing like a pendulum
Savoring lingering lust

Inhaling smoke languidly
Sucking every undying toxin

Premium Member Aging

Age methodically creeps up on us,
Until productive years seem spent.
Leaving us to recall fond memories,
Like some useless old malcontent.

The things that once delighted us,
Have scurried from our eye's view.
Now with health issues we're mired,
And our good days seem all too few.

We put off things until we retire,
Reasoning then we'll make more time.
Numbering opportunities we let pass,
Discovering late, we're past our prime.

Love and the Art of Motorcycle Maintenance

(Rhyming Senryu)

Cold and careful hands
Dismantle love’s elements
Methodically

The eye detecting
Fragile fractured copper threads
Dispassionately

Concentrating fire
Melting metal, soldered wire
Mending circuitry

Testing, one, two, three
The current, interrupted
Now set flowing free

How beautifully
Cool flux and hot flame restore
Conductivity

Love’s analogy
Motorcycle maintenance
Electricity

Joyfully so, she seems to be my (our) biggest fan.
Absolutely wonderful, Jan's embodiments symbolize her awesome agenda.
Never does it fail, Jan shares free hugs—special gifts—maximum encouragers—orchestrated methodically scratching Souper's records, performing as our (my) poetic DJ.

Autumn Shrugs

Autumn shrugs off summer
like Alzheimer's shrugs off
wit, slowly and methodically;
purposeful and nonchalant.
This dire deterioration
welcomes dank darkness,
chilling and finite,
long-winded and overbreathed.
October winds shake and stir
the very foundations of our
civilizations, and rock the
metaphorical boat of blissful
nesciance; eventually capsizing
the bleeding vessel, until its
veins run dry with
suffocation.

Premium Member Color and Diversity

The world's grey. Slowly, methodically,
Feathers from colorful birds have been burned.
Sheep in a fog on a snowy mountain.
One man thought uniformity equaled
Superiority, ugly furor.
Their ashes floated down all around us
There's no color left in this sooty world.
Beauty's palette swirled with color beckons.
Diversity screams for a slight foothold.
The heart just whithers in colorless worlds.

Premium Member The Bear and the Ballerina

grizzly grazing a meadow
pretending not to notice the dancer
wind shifting-it stands horribly- tall
sniffs the air
pivots nonchalantly
methodically swaggers
appetite enhanced
moment ignited
by the ancient guide
it charges-bloody eyed
stomping the meadow blossoms
it swats at the dancer
again -again and again
as she flits toward the cliff
brute tumbling over
to its cold slag death
ballerina dancing
over the screaming crag

Premium Member Dance Floor

Nostrils flared like a horse ready for a race
The stare intense with desire
Prancing she crosses the floor
Sending mental messages
Hoping the universe will decode
Interpret and methodically decipher
Creating sweet serendipity
unstoppable through time
Playfully with protruding lips
with hypnotic swing of hips
Blushing of the face
batting of sultry eyes
She struts across the dance floor
Picking a partner of choice.

Premium Member Love Needs Constant Watering

True love is not a fleeting thing, a fading flower
To be tossed aside when it begins to wither,
But revived, replenished, methodically nurtured,
Restoring the natural beauty it had in its beginning.
Comes the time when lustful romancing subsides,
Matures, perhaps, is the better word to explain—
But the foundational love remains to be watered
And fed, overshadowing the disappointments
That come when we share our life with another.
