How due you Dew
In silence i watch

rain cascading down the walk

dew drops drip where water's due

I Prefer a Little Water with My Tea
Head straight to the coffee pot after I pee
What happened this morning? Good god mercy me
Empty Folgers can
Was I pissed? Yes ma’am
(Four extra-large bags make a fine cup ‘o tea)

Gotta Run Down to the Store
DAMN it, you stupid old fart!
Why did you pull out THAT cart?
That cart with the wobbly front wheel
And it squeaks! (How embarrassed I feel)
Oops! Beg your pardon sweet ma'am
Yes, I know who I think that I am
(Crash) Oh good god mercy me

Mercy, Mercy, Mercy
Mercy, Mercy… Mercy me A light, white frosting of snowflakes Upon cardboard and old soiled blankets Streetlamps and neon signs Light…empty… unfeeling and bone chillingly cold Plastic bottles and wadded bags Holey sneakers wrapped In filthy rags Tortured dreams and Muffled screams And piercing, numbing cold …Mercy, mercy, me…

Mercy Me
Mercy me what have I done?
I saw my daddy shoot his gun.

Heard a noise at night, and brought him out.
Him, his flashlight and his 410 no doubt.

An armadillo's what I heard,
It wasn't a cat, or a dog or a bird.

The flashlight's beam shown on his head,
He raised up, and boom! The armadillo's dead!

Mercy me, look what daddy's done!
He shot an armadillo with his gun!

Premium Member My Knees Don't Like Me
My knees don't like me very much
Right now I don't like them.
They use to be much friendlier
When I stayed fit and trim.

You don't give up on friends because
They've maybe gained some weight
But mercy me , if I was a three
They'd take me on a date.

I want them to remember
To think real long and hard
Replacement's in the future
So I'd not go overboard.

Feeling Thankful
I feel thankful today, You loved me beforehand, Your love makes me feel grand, Your love that came my way; I feel grateful today, Your grace showered on me, Your grace that set me free, Your grace that shone my way; I feel thankful today, Your mercy I can feel, Your mercy me did heal, Your mercy guides my way. 11/23/18

Twas the night before morning,
and all was asleep,
everybody, except me.
When out of nowhere, a sight to behold,
this very fat man, trying to carry his load.
I jumped out of bed, so I could help,
when a strange cold nudge, I felt.
Reindeer were jumping all around the room,
I had to clean up their mess, it would be morning
Cookies were crumbled all over the floor,
and that fat man had passed out , outside my door.
Mercy me, what can I do,
Just say, Merry Christmas to you.
