Dying Grandfather
dying grandfather
child of hot rods and whiskey
unsure bellowing at nurses
defines a life of loudness,
cargiving and alcoholism...

Time
Caught up in life
No time to sit still
Never having quiet time with myself
Always busy in the loudness of the world

These days end too quickly
The nights are too brief
My time on earth is running out
What must I do to slow it down...

Premium Member Sound Dreams
without the whirl
of a happy sound
too quiet the fan

the dim lighting
lacking air
sans morning sun

thoughts stifled
with buzzing
the sweat pouring

breezeless tease
dreams of
Winters cloak

the loudness
of the tinkers
like bells

Lamentation In Silence
Silence shrouds the sound of his emotions
They shout so loud, yet you hear nothing.
Not because they lost their voice, but because
Of the loudness of the silence.
His lamentation searches for a way,
For a way to something; to someone?

Silence is now against him, not for him
Such power in nothingness, in 'the mute'....

Premium Member Oozing Chimera
don't crave my chimera
string loudness and dew

bloom explodes in my stream
A cluster of crepuscle rainbows

It comes from
devotedness for you
don't steal my daydreams
the ocean I share with you

If the melody
gently has daringness
strike my face
well...
I will wait for you

10 Hours
I count the hours

as I welcome the pelt of rain

harmoniously thumping and splattering against the

melancholic chug-chug screech of the train

10 hours

of not being assaulted by your words

hours devoid of your loudness

yet my heart is screaming, banging, drumming

10 piercing hours

time does not escape your noise...

A lamp post casts a shadow
Could we tip toe into those slivers of space
where opposites are true?
Breathe the air trapped beneath the sea?
Look and see everything
in the moment lightning flashes?
When our hearing is dampened by the loudness of the drums - find the frequency which remains...
I don't know, I just know opposites are sometimes true....

Losing My Mind In a Crowd
A silenced voice is calling As my deafened ears do hear The words that now are falling Are those, though distant, near I call to no one, really But respond to it, as heard And though this reads as silly It’s truly just absurd For a silent voice has loudness? Deafened ears can hear? It’s just a bunch of madness As myself, I disappear

The Wrecking
So delicate at touch, when loudness occurs
hush.
A moment will arrive where we
must consider trust.
The broken may remember a tender
emotion, we've entered in a silent
type of devotion.
Burning wisdom, courage, & strength,
turning ourselves in to a wonder of
weakness that it leaves us
speechless.
The Wrecking is a reckoning upon
the fire, who is the liar....

Premium Member Solar Monsters
Solar monsters from a planet we do not know.
They came in with loudness, their eyes aglow.
I said what are they? To a scientist, Joe.
Sunspot creatures, he said “as far as I know.”

What planet do they hail from? I asked Joe.
They are in a solar system in the very next row.
I want them to star in my Christmas Show.
But they have to learn the language said optimistic Joe....

Star
There's a star in me
Crushed under my heart
Waiting to escape
To burst through my skin, my shirt
Weeping beams of light
There's a star in me
Who doesn't like whispers
Or subtle hues of blue and grey
But the loudness of shouts
And red amaryllis
There's a star in me
Who doesn't like generic avatars
For Facebook profiles
But wants to be known by its name
Its shine undimmed...

Premium Member I Instantly Disliked Her
I instantly disliked her.
I don’t know if it was her
Height or her red hair or
Her loudness,

But I immediately
Thought we can never
Be friends. But then
She sat with me at lunch
And I had never laughed so
Hard in my entire life.

Ever

So we became friends
And I have never told
Her that my instant
Impression was that
We could never
Be friends

Why would I
Hurt my
Best friend
Like that?...

A Patch From Scratch
the noisy gong
echoing the clanging cymbals
seizes the loudness within
as we sing notes without pitch
still our life’s music plays on

the bed with roses
floats on water beneath ice
sailed by the breeze from trees
with barks blinded by sight
still our journey path continues

the morsel of a giant
in the feast of dwarfs
are all fragmented spaces
of a quartered square
still we stand upright to measure...

The Dove
They all wish,

and dreams collide- on a dime-
on a dive,

they say in admonished curves in time and color,

of those flapping doves,

seizes mind a flutter,

they wish to seal within the prosperous carrothers-
sanctity of motion,
hectors O' acres of the dozens...

They all wish one the baskets on the ovens-
and upon dishes their bumpkins-
that loudness to be promised to everyone we have punished....

Quietness
God is unseen, Air cannot be seen either, Walk blindly through the darkness of the night. Seeing nothing in sight. Quietness is passed by where loudness is recognized every time. Only if quietness was seen? Where would the quietness take you? To places you have never seen? But for the time being I live in the quietness I am the one who takes in all of God’s glories Regardless if quietness means being invisible to many.

Serenity Rain
The sounds of the rain
whisper to me, a sonet of water angels.
As I watch it flow,
a song of happiness and sadness
comes to mind.
The voices harmonize
in perfect melody,
getting attention from the
invisible notes.
The gentle swaying
of its calm solace relaxes me.
The loudness of thunder
awakens my relaxation.
But, as I focus more on
the sonet,
my relaxation returns
with great quietude.
I have fallen into a deep slumber and
so I end....

Long Time Gone
She sings along with that song
Taking the long way
She gets that
The violin melody of a hard fought harmony
She'll find a place to belong
But eventually her roundness
Her loudness
Finds her falling out of space
And she never fits in the square pegs
She begs
Borrows, but never steals
She believes in the commandments
He isn't here anymore
Killed millenniums ago
But love lives forever
Eternally
A long hello
And she finds forgiveness
Never says goodbye...

The Noise
The noise was silently deafening
It was the loudness of my mind.
Thoughts were running riot & loose
Conjuring up insane madness in their find.

I was blinded by the darkness Of the night skies
blackned but dimly lit up by the stars shining.
My emptiness was full of nothingNess
In the delllusions of knits entwining.

My senses became null & void
Paralysed by the fear within me
Like a crippled man unable to move
Yet I was flying above in ita dreamy vicinity...
