10 Hours
I count the hours
as I welcome the pelt of rain
harmoniously thumping and splattering against the
melancholic chug-chug screech of the train
10 hours
of not being assaulted by your words
hours devoid of your loudness
yet my heart is screaming, banging, drumming
10 piercing hours
time does not escape your noise
