Loose End
Jan 2, 2018

Hanging on a loose end rope is utterly in vain
You feel like you have a hope
but in the end is only pain...

A Helping Hand
To be honest my friend, when I’m at a loose end
I can fall prey to worry and fear
So give me a shout and I may help you out
When your burden’s too grievous to bear

I will offer my hand that together we’ll stand
United and facing down fear
And with every shared breath we will contradict death
So that just for today we are spared....

No End
The lapdog is our friend
The laptop is our mend

There’s no end
We are trapped in a pen
Maybe this is a trend
We don’t need to spend
However, we need to pretend
We enjoy our weekend
Although it’s only a bitter end

When we’re at a loose end
Nobody wants to understand
Because they only care about the stock dividends
They are our internet's friends...

Pesky Loose Ends
If everything were simple it would shape just like a brain,
And I’d take it out and look at it and never feel a pain,
And I’d pity poorer mortals who didn’t care if it were true,
For the clear and simple reasons that explained their shallow view,
And my life would be a pleasure with no pondering to annoy,
For there wouldn’t be a single loose end to tie up......

Loose Ends
Every stroke of my pen
tightens a hold on my heart
every loose end
made one deeper scar
with every line painted
with words so vain
this one moment
has driven me insane
this written question
of how do I find myself
for he has done nothing
but hurt me
and make me long for help
knowing it will never come
I am the weakest will
and here I lay coming undone...

A Silhouette
Plush red velvet pillows rest secluded
light bent amid scenic shoji screens
ornate vines twist and turn giving way
a silhouette stares ahead without face

Pin pricked blood blackened by pain
drips holes drilled out stitched
loop by loop the fabrics of life
tying up loose-end-less thoughts

Time still lost but never found
feelings frost within a frigid wind
felt in the recesses of the dark
trembling fingers wave farewell...

Premium Member As the Body From the Soul
I choose
the strongest thread
amongst the many spools
in my house
to mend
my garments

I pull the loose end of the thread
on the spool of thread
in the sewing basket
slowly
until the thread is taut
and there is no slack

I pull and pull
the thread
until as in the end
the thread leaves the spool
and floats free in the air
as a body from a soul

I leave
the empty spool
in the old sewing basket
while the strong thread
mends
my family’s torn garments...

Skiggin
Skiggin Skiggin my bonhomie friend
Imported From Mars I can apprehend
Skiggin Skiggin suspended at world's loose end

Skiggin Skiggin I do love you
Skiggin Skiggin no kitchen no loo
I have gone to City mall to buy you a shoe

Skiggin Skiggin my Martian bee
No flower no honey only you and me
Skiggin Skiggin mom has made a cup of tea

Skiggin Skiggin my bonhomie friend
So glossy so mossy so lossy rear end
Let your eyes be closed and dream descend....

Trending
cut and paste attitudes
collage costume ball
of personality clashes
over glued
to cover tracks

experience of multitude
all pick and choosy
lightweight hyenas
with mismatched spots
pulling dog-eyed at
every string and
tying loose end frayed
knots like collars

strangulated sensibility
when everything’s
in reach, not good enough
or past tense
in fashion sense

got the best of all worldly
minds, but chopped
brains resemble those of
monster frankenstien’s....
