Night of Love
The moon shone

through a sleeping linden.

The dog slept near the porch.

Two whispers were floating,

«I love you!» «I love you!»

That was the night without end....

O Linden Tree
O Linden Tree
Were I a bee
I’d buzz around you endlessly.
Your perfume’s key,
On street or lea,
To lure with much intensity.

But as for me,
Sincerity
Demands the truth, so golly gee,
I’d love to see
A linden tree
With blossoms that are fragrance-free!...

Respite Under a Linden Tree
I yearn for every moment to be a delight
For worry and stress to give way
To endless days of leisurely respite
From now until forever and ever
Let me fear no more and have no need for hope
Let me sit under a linden tree and just abide
In the bliss of serene stillness.

On Alleys With Linden Trees
Your smile
on alleys with linden trees
is like a moonlit nights
under the shining stars.
On the bench,
in the park with summer flowers,
I wish to embrace you
near by my soul...

Now,
with white hair
in my way to the starry sky
in the moonlit,
on alleys with linden trees
with summer flowers
I see lovers smiling
and embracing one another

...and life goes on......

Sepulchral Flame
Linden tree branches whisper your name
Cherished by flowers, blessed by the sky,
Carved on a stone. The sepulcher’s flame
Kindles and keeps my memories nigh.

When your departure day I bemoan,
Endless your absence seems to have been.
Deep in my heart regret you have sown,
Darker than weeping willows have seen.

Questions For a Stranger Ii
Who is your god?
Who is your friend?
I could sit here for eternity
Asking questions like
Who is your lover?

Do you feel the shade of a linden tree between your lips?
Do you trust a swan gliding across a lake?
Do you read poetry at sundown or sunup?
Do you like the fusing of words?
Do you like the fusing of worlds?

If so, what is the difference?
Who is your lover?
Who is your god?
Who is your friend?
Who is your-my-self?...

This Year Carl Marries Olivia
Carl was very anxious
Olivia looked at him and she became suspicious…
“Never before I wanted to confess it to you” he said
“From the very first day…" his face became red…
"Everything I wanted is to be with you forever,
Spend good and bad days together,
Sing songs to our future children,
Illustrate our house with a picture of yellow linden...
Olivia, marry me..." he knelt
"Never...I'd be able to live without you", her heart melt......

Midsummer Day
roses have opened their layers of lids
the eyes of nature are looking around
clouds swept in by a jocund breeze
attempt to travel in consistent unions
closing each hole to preserve the Blue
for the days of that summer to follow

roofs are awaiting the kiss of the sun
making them swelter in the stillness
at noon when nature seems dreaming
enthralled by the blossoms of linden
the fragrance so sweet can hold all the
heat and the joy of summers gone by...

Premium Member Imperial City
The storm erupted
from a charcoal-bruised sky
lashing spindles
of platinum rain
upon an emerald heath
tossed in trenchant wind.

Among the hedgerows and linden
the first spires emerged
like shoots from turned loam
followed by the pitch
of tiled-stone roofs
and pewter walls
of lambent unblemished granite.

The damp auburn clay,
etched by a teal river,
birthed a soaring imperial city,
its cerulean patina to ever scintillate
in sun's timeless effulgence....

Flowers of Spring
Frühlingsblumen / Flowers of Spring / Flores de primavera

Tage sind länger
Und Frühlingsblumen blühen
In den Vorgärten

An einer Linde am Fluss
Klopft nur ein Specht seinen Takt

Days are longer
And spring flowers are blooming
In the front gardens

A linden tree by the river
Only a woodpecker beats his beat

Días son más largos
Flores de primavera florescen
En los jardines

Un árbol de tilo al río
Sólo un pájaro carpintero golpea a su ritmo...
