Her license plate read, "Look Up"
Heaven blessed her dirty tires
As she rolled along highways
Clinging to her faith
the loving couple
marriage license safely signed
still lives in this world
only on their honeymoon
can it be wholly ignored
lube yourself up car
young one searches frantically
cannot find gas tank
oil tell him says my man
it is behind license plate
Life’s blood out of stone
the old veins penetrated
yet fears losing you,
a renewal a license
for happiness oh so late!

Birds wake with the dawn
Early starters in the light
With license to sing
They mingle mirth by themselves
Wind and wings hum as mute elves
The world's a safer place...
There's one less driver on the streets.
My small gift to society.

Now that
I’ve used
So much
They call
Me . A
Poet
Licentious.
To all users of A.I. I say,
while I write with my OWN brain each day,
I find you pathetic.
Your license poetic
should be canceled and taken away.
We might as well stamp license plates
Government work makes us inmates
When assigned tasks inane
In asylums insane
We'll search for retirement dates
Words of malice, curses flamed,
hiding in the past
No license needed to hunt through time
—the present armed en masse

Healing words both yours, mine ... are understood and mis-understood

Poets: true artists or activists somehow know poetic license, justice, injustice
Anna the bandit and shady jane
set out to rob a railroad train.
So, they went for the gold.
Then botched the escape.
In for ten, no parole,
Makin license plates.
A loathsome lecher lurks along the long,
Lightless ledge, looking to lure a lost lamb
To lewd license, liquor, and lowlife lurch—
To the lesser lying league and layer.
spicy star
racy car
much speed
no heed
traffic stop
burly cop
license please
must appease!
red lips
sweet hips
bats eyes
gets rise
off hook?
threw book
Economic curve
Sliding down
Mushroom-like umbrellas
Springing up
Somewhat blocking the street
Drawing crowds
To buy the cheapest
Goods and wares
Without license or tax
A poet in search of his muse
Tried to find her by choosing to booze;
Far from what he desired
The poor fellow expired--
So be careful which boozing you choose!

poetic license
writers can be dangerous
tongues stretching and snapping gum
back and forth carriage
sardonic eyes…lies, lies, lies
Wolf’s truth sandwiched imagery
If I died
Would you keep my memory
Alive
Or would you slip
Into that wide abyss
I must have love
To curtail the greed
And the license
That won’t stay
In your arms
I feel free
Finally
NO FEAR OF DOMESTIC
TERRORISTS THREATS
TRULY SAD I'LL TRY
HARD NOT TO READ
YOUR PLATES TODAY
UNLIKE FRANKIE BOY
CALI SHOT PICKING UP
HIS LICENSE PLATE
NO FEAR OF GARGANO
CRIME FAMILY
The traffic cop told me you’re in for a fine
You should not dishonour the speed limit sign
Which made little sense
My driving license
Said, (in black and white) tear along dotted line
Walking on hailstones
I see you: a smile, a ‘Hi’
Dancing on diamonds

Renewing my driver's license, got by again
At my advanced years, haven'd killed or maimed
Cept for old ladies and cats
But aside from that fact
Obey most rules and at times stay in my lane
It's rudimentary dear Watson, just listen to Papa
Earth was once flat now it's round, that “macabra”
It all about rhyme
Artsy license is mine
Replaced “e” with “a” taking liberties, ya gotta
Going for a driver's test next week
It's a written test, the rules of the road they seek
If I don't know 'em by now
There's no hope no how
Should be a lifetime license when we're at our peak
