Hello Caren a gas tank is behind the license plate! An odd place to have one. Hugs Darlene.

Apparently in the 50's and 60's this is much more common than I ever remembered.

Thank you Gershon. We sat in the car at a full service station once for a couple of minutes while the young man went around and around the car frantically searching for the gas tank. I finally told my husband to get out and show him you had to flip up the license plate.
