With The Fork And Knife

When you come to my home for a visit, would you like a fork and knife, while eating your cel phone ?

Words

Friendly and friendly words
I longed for all my life.

But all I got are words and words
that cut me like a knife.

I sat on the vine way up high
What a beautiful day I sigh
	Soon came Farmer’s wife
	With a carving knife
Now I’m a spicy pumpkin pie

Premium Member And There I Was

I sat serenely on the vine
The sun on my rind sublime
	Came the farmer’s wife
	with a carving knife
I’ll nevermore feel the sun shine

Conversations With a Knife

No purpose in silence,
with these breaths becoming
iron, my sharpest edges
unfurl the curtain, shredding
the flesh of solitude,
with violence.

They sat one across from the other
Neither could move closer nor further
	She winked at Jack
	And he winked back
Their unrequited love asunder

Premium Member Carver's Attack

There once was a pumpkin named Jack
Who left home and never looked back
	He faced a great harm
	Once leaving the farm
Now fights off the Carver’s attack

The Knife Behind My Back

Everything I do is for you forever and always not because I love you but because I'm constantly walking on eggshells waiting for the other shoe to drop just for you.

Beg for sadness, end
Fighting, a castrated peace
Open cuts, betray

Object of desire.
Funny phrase. I mean
How ridiculous!
Fantasy's best scene
Viewed through passion's fire
Oughta be more keen
Oughta be more dire
Than mere object.

Like a Knife

UR WORDS THEY CUT ME LIKE A KNIFE.

RITE TO THE BONE AS IF TO END MY LIFE.

I WANTED TO BE THERE WHETHER DAY OR NITE.

BUT THE WAY UR ACTING MAKES ME FEEL ITS NO LONGER RITE.

Pig

I had this terrible knife
in a terrible dream, then awoke
and saw it hovering above me
in my own hand
waiting to do further damage to
these hacked pieces
of this dead pig.

     Golly, gee willikers, gee whiz
My punch lines have lost all their fizz ~
       Where has that fizz gone
       It’s missing since dawn ~
Critics say: ‘Tis what ‘tis what ‘tis

Knife

You are like the pain
of a stuck knife
you are the wall that stop me
from getting to the other side
you are that dark cloud
which makes me blind
which stops me from seeing
the beauty of life.

Knife Won'T Cut

I see this life,
passing me by,
I see this knife,
in my hand,
at my throat,
but I can't cut,
my hand won't move,
it's frozen,
in fear,
I can't stand the wait,
but death won't take me,
and this knife won't cut.

Pen Knife

i could calmly
spread open my
hand and take the

knife pulled
from my heart
then quickly play

a game of
pocket knife
and slight of hand

actually
to be exact
fingers spread

it's not
slight of
hand but

mumblypeg

Premium Member Why Is That Knife There

Why is a knife on my porch railing?
I stare at it.
Daring it to tell me how it got here.
The knife is silent.

A red switchblade knife.
It looks ominous; it seems threatening.
It stares me down. I can barely take my nap.
It has won.

Bringing Guns To a Knife Fight

watching the US & its NATO buddies
beat the middle east senseless
until it get its way,
is like watching kids show up on the playground
with semi-automatics,
when the few that they are gonna fight
have a couple of switchblades
between them.

Knife-Thirst

Time is a rusted blade
Ripping when it cuts
Bone, and fat and guts.

Life is a tragic clown’s charade
Time’s nicked knife will slash;
Props, and back-drops, crash.

Only proud puppets never fade:
Sawdust hearts survive,
Deathless, unalive.

Dull knife

Your
Dull Knife
Cuts
old Memories
like a lobotomy
I've drank
you before
Your song
plays in my head
like a stones skipping
across my face
My teeth
rattle
Like wind chimes
in cold air
There nothing
Left to say
But
I love you
sky

Premium Member Swallowing a knife

Listen to poem:
If only swallowing a knife could cut the words from my minds eye
So complex open wounds would slowly bleed until its veins run dry
Carving a way for my vexations, though my heart will never be free
To release the tournament of deeply hemorrhaging wounds in me

The Knife

Today I sit and think about my life
Today is my judgement day
For today once again I will pick up the knife
I will trace the blade once more on my skin
And let all the pain bleed out from my flesh
Let my open wound do all my talking
And release all my doubts
