know thyself

Keep Off the Grass
If I paint the grass bright blue
The clouds will not know what to do.
They'll mill about upon the ground
Thinking trees are upsidedown....

I worry about a deep scratch, That is on the glass, not the hatch. On couch, keep a clutch - Your blow’s a bit much, When farts, with a stain, do dispatch.

You and I
Fire can keep off the way,
Water can't block the way

Fires can be put out with water
Water can't be destroyed by fire

Wildfires and Floodwaters
Surround us songs of Love

Kisses can't be tamed
either or together....

Go Away
Go away
  and don't come back.

Get out of my shack
  and hit the road Jack!

Kiss my ass
  and keep off the grass!

Let me be
  and don't talk to me.

I don't want to play
and that's all I have to say.

Dreamy Dreams Delight
I dreamt a dream of dreamy flight
A dream that swept me with delight
Dreaming inside a dream just might
Allow dreams to succumb their height
Dear dream maker keep off the light
I hate to wake from dreams at night
Sandman comes to tire my sight
Nourish foreboding dreams so right
Subconscious dreams work through life's plight~...

Keep Your Signs
Keep clear, beware of train, shallow water, overhead crane
Keep off the grass, falling stones, do not run, no mobile phones
Keep left, stay right, no street lights after midnight
Keep raw meat and fish away, no waiting on the loading bay
Keep out, danger zone, do not walk at night alone
Keep away, falling tree
Keep your, keep off signs
Away from me!...

If you think this place has no great appeal

Now how in the hell do you think I feel

On my stone let no bird light

If they do clean off the blight

Keep off the grass as at my tomb you kneel

The Bible Is a Literary Great
In one
No fun.

From start
End part.

Today
No way.

Daily
Nelly.

But long
Read song.

Ashamed
Not named.

In here
Quite clear.

Disown
The known.

Thrown off
Keep off.

Church creeds
Bad seeds.

Your eyes
Have pies.

Your mind
Opined.

Your find
Is kind.

No priest
Does feast.

Effect
Select.

Your read
Your feed.

Your rhyme
Your grime.

Stand tall
With all....

In the Dark
This morning I walked in the dark.
Before, I’d not go to the park
When the sky wasn’t light;
It would give me a fright
For the pathways were lonely and stark.

But now, though, my worries do lack
The fear of a mugger attack.
It’s the foe that’s unseen
Causing mass quarantine
That I hope to keep off of my back.

Ere the sunrise, the streets are devoid
Of the crowds making me paranoid.
So I breathe in the air
While remaining aware
Of each early bird I must avoid....
