cerulean vastness stretching,
above and below.
mountainous ridge,
a cutting knife.
on jutting dock,
serenity broods.
soda stream pops
gargles are gurgled
mischievous meanders over moss
jutting chins of fresh shaven
intrusive rocks
sunlit tendrils stroking at the seams
Lilies white,
Red, blue and yellow,
Jutting from out the pond,
Pad broad and flattened out
But not one frog to sit.
Schools of gold
Some of white
With few of ebony.
8 12ish #2
Decked out in gorgeous red,
Lilies white, violet, blue and yellow
Jutting out from the pond,
Pads broad and flattened out
But not one frog to sit.
Schools of gold,
Some to faded white
With few of ebony.
Osprey
with it's tentacles
jutting out
plunges
into a shallow stream,
grabbing
a Rainbow Trout;
tantamount
to an arrow
hitting
the center
of the target!
Up and away it goes!

cascading
over jutting rocks
the melodious water
of salvation
cleanses my soul

Anticipating, beckoning, casting demonic, enviable fury, gazing hungrily inside, jutting kerosene, littering masses never opted, putrefying quills, reverting sympathy, turning upside-down…vaccinating whim, x-raying yesteryears…zero in
Jutting rock into the sea
Lighthouse stands alone on thee
Flashing warnings stay away
Very dangerous are these ways
Come around to safe harbor
Paradise awaits those tomorrow
A day of rest awaits no sorrow
Refreshing time for soul bestowed
Jutting far beyond date palms and dunes,
East of somewhere and west of nowhere,
Bound by rocks along sparse vegetations,
Endless rows of towering tors and ridges,
Lonely backdrop against cloudless skies,
Silent sentries amidst desolate wasteland.
The ledge, jutting out
in quivering water.
Moon was sitting underneath,on floor.

I will look out?
for a songbird.
Something secret, I wanted to share.

I do not abuse anybody,
like a mockingbird?
I make a fool of myself.

Jibes flew across as sharp
jutting arrows stabbing
jolts chilling blood curdling
jarred sensibilities
Juxtaposed between sects
jagged edged racial slurs
jettisoned global peace

Jungle's deadly wolf roams,
Jaws tightening its limbs
Jutting out from ashed night;
Jeers growl for a prey's blood.
Jingling its canine paws,
Jolts ripping hunter's flesh
Joust against man...beast wins !

Scattered abroad
universally recognized
ornate and colorful
standing tall and silent
anchored aground
on strips of land
jutting into the sea.
Sending light
into the darkness
cutting half-circles
through blackness
Sweeping beams
warning unwary sailors
of low tides and danger.
The sun shimmers over the rippling river
seemingly chasing the water spiders.
Long grasses mixed with wild flowers
weave back and forth along the banks.
Turtles sunbathe on an exposed log
jutting out from beneath the waters.
What a spectacular day
to skim seamlessly through the water
in my new canoe!
He took up a lot of space
for a skinny guy.
Arms shooting out from his pits,
grabbing this and that.
Neck jutting left and right
and all the time
occupying the middle of the aisle.
Being older and fatter,
I paused my shopping cart,
waited
pretended I didn't want
to shove his ass into
the canned peas.
The pretentious rock
Craggy and malformed
Jutting brazen
Upon the sandy shore
Suffering
The slow and steady onslaught
of the ocean’s perpetual rhythm
Eventually
To become a pebble
Small and insignificant
Yet smooth to the touch
And curiously beautiful
In its own right
A result of years of wear
He took up a lot of space
for a skinny guy.
Arms shooting out from his pits,
grabbing this and that.
Neck jutting left and right
and all the time
occupying the middle of the aisle.
Being older and fatter,
I paused my shopping cart,
waited
pretended I didn't want
to shove his ass into
the canned peas.
Double prism waving over granite jutting mountains
tints dancing on the waves of light and moisture
a serene moment in time
and now
the
rains
start again blocking out the etheral colours
the rains pound down upon the verdant ground
refreshing and lillies and snapdragons
that bend
under the weight of the enveloping fluid
Shades of fall, sounds of autumn
Jutting rocks witnesses of constant change
Beneath clouds of white amid expanses of
Blue reflected in rippling flows straining
Against earthen banks like traffic cops or
Standing navigators, deciding direction
Yet yielding to persistence as
Dirt joins water
Disrupting vision
Blurring the future
The sun shimmers over the rippling river as if chasing the water spiders. Long grasses mixed with wild flowers weave back and forth along the banks. Turtles bathe on the exposed log jutting out from the water. A herring hides beneath a shady willow.
What a spectacular day to skim past such beauty in our new canoe!

A dentist was having no luck
Because Freddie’s teeth were so buck.
Clearly braces he’d need;
Dad and mom disagreed.
Every argument left them all stuck.
Freddie’s dentist did not intervene,
Giving simple advice – “Keep them clean.”
He deserves some acclaim;
Ipso facto, the same
Jutting teeth sang the lyrics of Queen.

turbulent souls
intoxicated by
colours and lines
philosophical downtrodden
jutting clumsy unfinished
works shocking the system
delivered in spasms
they hide in brothels and
beg in taverns for an ounce
of malt and love
to sober
they are destroyed for
their originality and
worshipped later by
the same vultures and
revered as great artists
Form:
At the moor's edge
where the cliff-drop gnaws the wind
and a jutting ledge raises it hackles,
fingers scrabble, skinned toes curl
within stiff-jawed boots.
Turn an ankle here,
and you may fall
unleashed
to die somewhere
out of sight.
Do not enter your mind here
in that place
where a whipped dog cowers.
Cling,
rope yourself to the sky -
Growl.
The ocean rolled with white caps
Rising and falling in scattered
Wind blown sprays,
Waves breaking viciously
Upon shoreline rocks,
Jutting wharves,
Tied up little fisher boats.
Sea gulls overhead, as if angry
At the ferocity of today’s ocean
Whipped up by this autumn gale,
Shrieked in flight
As thunders roared
And
I enjoyed it all.
