There was a beekeeper named Jives
Who found a rash on his thighs.
The doctor said be at peace,
Nothing to fear in the least.
You simply have too many hives.
Ethereal calico cat has eighteen lives
Nine for other felines, but this kind jives
She is mystically, magically surreal,
Surviving much longer; it’s a calico deal.
Ron-- dashing friend of adult years
With zest for life so free;
Our ventures a potion!
My chum jives despite weary limbs !
In town at sixty-three -
We'll dunk food, share beer- tales
JAZZ
Just eighty-four, Grandma
Jives to Michael Jackson,
Jogging memories of
Jumping into fox trots
Jolts of Charleston dance,
Joyous beat of brass bands,
Jubilant flapper times.

sound of blues ripples on--
smokey tunes blowing hot
sizzling flamed mood...it's jazz!
sax notes intoxicate
swirling like coltraine's grind,
soulful trance whips my breath...
spice of night, weekend jives!
Jewel is largest orb,
Jazzed third bright in night sky,
Juts in fifth place from sun.
Joins name of Roman god.
Jam rules Sag and Pisces;
Jells expansion and grace,
Jives like a lucky star.

Dedicated to Miles Davis; Kind of Blue
Duke Ellington's Mood Indigo
Be optimistic rather than fatalistic.
Don't squander and be elated hedonistic.
Retain moving; only the obdurate survive.
Hand jives your way to contrive.
Slump or solidity must be omitted.
Wear awe mood when having moved.
Don't be shy in taking elitism.
Self-reliance is a wedge of realism.
The girl in me pirouettes without care,
allowing hips' gait on the blue of rocks
as lush wings reel and orbit from nowhere...
O my toes click, a magic that unlocks
a host of robins slip-sliding away
in a meadow which airbrushes the night;
when birdsong echoes low, " be young...good day!"
Till finally, my jives end with delight.

Walking the streets up and down,
my own image fades on car mirrors.
A wandering ghost with no bound,
sadly cut by invisible scissors.
What in life I would call disgrace,
come to me in sharp knives.
This cold winter that eats my face,
with no color and no jives.
And even the more I try to scape,
there is no run away for me,
from this vague space called life.
No matter what path I shall take,
I find no one there but thee,
for the no one me lacking rife.
A beautiful creation -delighting eyes for glittering happiness,
Impetuously jives kindred’s lifelong moments,
nature’s omnipresent picturesqueness
quiet , resplendent smiles to us
ventilation whirls,
eXhilarating,
yielding
zing

Loving touches of masculine hands
Sweeping hair away from face
Raising Goose bumps of Love
Simply caressing an embrace
Simple pleasures of you and me
In a glance of defining eyes
To seal with passionate kissing
Resting body's after jives
Star struck with your moves
Grooving to my every beat
In tune with my mood
Conversational melody
Swept right off my feet
Intentional actions intertwine
Attention to the marine
Collecting lovers reservoir
