Queen Isabella of Spain knew this guy
He asked to give exploration a try
She thought the world was flat
He'd sail off the end and that would be that

Christopher Columbus’s claims were outlandish.
Queen Isabella was truly upstandish.
The court said he would fall off the edge.
So they bombarded him with mean sledge.
The queen still gave three ships to trycandish.

Go to bed bunny and close your eyes, fall into a deep slumber
Dream of days when we'll dance together, and hold hands beneath the tree we lay under
Dream of kisses and food and drink
and all the excitement and fun we can think
I love you always Isabella. . . Always I will love you.

SWEET ISABELLA by Donna 3/22/2013
I looked at her face
as she played in her space...
she played peek-a-boo,
as little ones do
I watched her react
to Great Grandpa Jack,
as he sang her a song
while she danced along
I saw how she smiled,
this beautiful child,
and I thanked God above
for this baby to love !

On my walk I came across a Woolly Bear Caterpillar
It was walking across the street
I picked it up to move it off the road, hoping it would be ok
This caterpillar curls up in a ball for protection
Later it will be the Isabella Tiger Moth
I haven't seen one in a while but they are a sight to see

We had a fragile moment,
but it wasn't meant to last.
I let Isabella
slip into the past.
Her beauty, for an instant,
was truly mine to know,
but when autumn winds invade
the summer breeze must go.
But through the turn of seasons
I'll remember Isabella's grace;
she'll warm my winter heart
though I never saw her face.

Signore Christopher Columbus came up with a wacky notion!
He claimed he could reach India by sailing west across the Atlantic Ocean!
"Just think of all them spices and gold! We ain't got nothin' to lose!"
Queen Isabella thought him nuts but reluctantly funded the cruise!

wanting to
i did to you
my own
makeup
to make
you
forget my
face as it is
just a mask
a persona
that can be
erased
like a clown's
upside down
smile doesn't
mean he or she
is unhappy
underneath
so feeling like
the phantom
i operatically
chained you
with not seen
changes ever
before for
you are are
you not
Isabella
and i not
your Quasi

I do not know?
When I first saw you,
I said merci beaucoup.
Wonderment filled your eyes.
You calmed to my lullabies.
You have an affect,
Which I did not expect.
Your smile lights up a room,
Your laughter is the kaboom!
Your disposition,
Is ammunition,
For originality,
Individuality.
As I watch you grow,
Into a wondrous Snow,
Seek your light from above,
And soar like a mighty dove.

Verse
Her name is Isabella; a bell of beauty,
She walks like Rhinna, ruling the sun.
Her legs shone like the crystal bell
Her mouth glows like the embeamed beauty
Her laughter rings like a bell of beauty
In the moon abode, she twist the planet
And generate a loving clothed beamed air.
She makes men' legs femished in cold weather.
Her beauty corrupt the eyes of men,
Isabella, Bell of beauty, my love a bell to you.

Under Red Umbrella
Two sisters under freshening rain showers
smelt breeze carrying sweet scent of wet flowers
holding high a scarlet Red Umbrella
walked hand in hand little Cinderella
caressed by older Isabella.
Rain-soaked moist ambient embowers.
