Chris Columbus

Signore Christopher Columbus came up with a wacky notion!

He claimed he could reach India by sailing west across the Atlantic Ocean!

"Just think of all them spices and gold! We ain't got nothin' to lose!"

Queen Isabella thought him nuts but reluctantly funded the cruise!

LOL Senior Columbus had to convince the entire world the world was not flat. Very cute, Bob! Personally, I wonder if Isabella funded his trip hoping he wouldn't return. :) You have some great clerihews, Bob. It must have been hard to choose just one for the contest, but I laugh everytime I even think of Archie, so I think you made a clever choice. Love, Carolyn
