Putting our pasts behind us
Our tomorrows a different place
Growing tall like quercus
Blessed tomorrows became caressed
Like words we became a sentence
Voiced grammar so de-stressed
A new adventure soon to commence us
But isn't life a ***** nipping at our heels
You can't knock such hungered persistence

Now we're just faces in life's distance
so, who decided that beauty is
what beauty is?
and what is beauty
in a face – an algorithm?
in a flower – a Fibonacci design?
yet we all choose beauty
irrespective of deviation
from the arbitrary equation
we know and we love
we love and know
as jointly our love would grow
but who then decided what beauty is
when it’s in our eye?
and our eye sees the beauty
within
whilst our hearts
just knows what beauty is
