subtract us humans
irrespective of
but then comes along,
common sense approach

decisions made
find him alive,
send this boy home
mothers grieving

combat found
bridged safely
firmly held

Ryan
freedom

saved

During the American Civil War, a Mrs Bixby lost 5 sons. Abraham Lincoln declared that if ever a family were called to fight, the surviving sibling will be saved. In recent times, during WW2, this situation happened. My poem 'The Last of the Brothers' is about the 'Niland' brothers during WW2 - James."
