Notes About The Poem

The Warriors Stance

Rolling dice throws up a greedy face,
resulting in an imminent conflict,
for although we proffer loving embrace,
deluded aggression still does persist,
fight or flight, dilemma of the hermit.
Sword in one hand and rose in the other,
spirit weeps when fighting their own brother,
yet what will be, will be, irrespective,
test being that love we do not smother,
glowing heart always ready to forgive.

Sadly "deluded aggression still does persist," this is correct; sadly! Well inked!

Thank you Caren! Yes, when conflict is inevitable, just as Arjuna reluctantly engaged in battle guided by Krishna, the lamp of love should continue shining in our radiant heart.
