Premium Member A Brush of Wings
Skywardly yearning,
wheeling and turning,
an exaltation of larks!
Lines interleaving,
wings interweaving
an orchestration of arcs!

Just shadow and light
imbuing their flight,
shape-shifting magic they fly.
With artistic flair,
their canvas the air,
this brush of wings paints the sky!

Faithfully We Dance
.

   My intricate interlacing strokes
           mirror the swaying
               interweaving
          of her skillful dance

          She divests playfully
                  just a bit

   She woos me with importunity
            yet needs me not
             I close in tightly
            yet need her not

       How faithfully we dance...

Illustrating erectness in such a bright sky. Soon, the sky turned from blue to dark gray. Rhizomes of two giant oak trees. Interweaving as beauteous poems breeze. Rustling branches without groans or smoke. The lightning strikes the killing stroke. It echoed the most powerful thunderclap. A lifetime spent together, was under the cap.

Deja Vu
a slip through time
      of that already known

when a sudden prompt from the unconscious
       to the conscious
of a memory from a past or future life
replays in the present

a deep feeling of familiarity floods the body
a sense of wonder and awe
       of the complex interweaving lives
planned by the soul in order to grow

and this life - your life
is a part of that plan...

Eternal Farm Rings
I sat and watched
the interweaving bands
of silver ribbons
on Grandma's barn
dance and twirl
over the red wooden doors,
and gently tap
the stained glass windows
on the side facing Old Miller's Lane,
And I thought I saw
the ribbons holding hands
as they leaped over the brook,
streaming in golden hay
by a willow tree
where they once swung and played,
kissing under the purple snap-dragons
in the vase on Grandpa's grave....
