Flirting

no matter how
sweet the innuendos
it’s still play
and only sounds
like conversation

Written On Flesh

Rose fell on the floor
Culminating a story
Written on the flesh
Began with innuendos
Ended with reclamations

Dreadfully Shy

Listen to poem:
insinuations, veiled intentions
subtleties and undertones
whispers and innuendos
half truths and hidden meanings

in the convoluted meanderings
in the midst of the charade
i've lost sight of what we had
and i fear i’ve lost my voice

Banished

Impasse

they say actions speak louder than innuendos
so true and when you speak in riddles
know that your subtleties are lost on me

i'm left not knowing how to feel

so if my responses seem anything but direct
i admit that it is absolutely so
i'm often in a quandry and have no words to say

Holy Communion

The vibes we ride
the highs, the lows
conversations with
conclusive innuendos
Hypotheticals and
experiments
we engage in
acrobatics of
noun and verb duels
Your en garde
I fall hard
Butter knife
tongues
Eucharistic bread
the uncovering
of your body
unravels my
mentality
Intoxicatingly
sipping your
Lord have mercies
Amen and Amen

Situated

situated… near the rudder of your soul a mist that makes me shudder down rivers depths where estuaries meet in strange whispers melting in my mouth… voiceless delicate shadows dancing on skylight innuendos sublime undressing your lines… I stumble and fall (for a muse who knows who he is) © Kim van Breda—23 May 2015

A Muse of Note

A MUSE OF NOTE you started an interest as you noted my script intrigued by you left me wanting more launching this cruise through oceans of depth now we have this dilemma of discovery we seek a deeper place playing under the same sky stress-less unclothed laughter tears diluted as innuendos imply © Kim van Breda

Parenthood

Dots of light dotted the dome
Displaying dismal disks
Halfhearted innuendos of harmony
Repetitive, unremarkable recordings
Minimally interesting, middle class, mediocre
Small wonder he thought, smirking, smarting
Discipline dismissed, discarded
Replaced with fun, funk and fad
Foolishness fueled Fukem, he fumed
No more, no more, no more
The military, military school, immediately!

Gift of the Song

Reflections
Songs Not worded or versed
Pure instrumental voice
Peaceful and soothing
Listening
Mild and calm contemplating
Reflective and serene
Like the past scenes
Developing
the repetitive beating
ongoing melody
subtle innuendos
 Producing
 Improvising therapeutic
And joyous melt
the gift of a song

Spidey Senses

As in my intuition tells to.
Suddenly my ears burst with disbelief.
Much goes around, hidden underneath.
Sometimes as I listen, the words seem unreal.
Through indirect innuendos.
Respectfully denies and smirking goes.
Riding along rolling with waves.
Spoken loud is truth.
Every breath is something.
For karma's debt of affliction.
Silently waiting for someone.
Ever knowing and learning.

Passive Aggressive Innuendos

puzzles puzzles
they write in rhyme
encrypted messages
poisoned in hate
guesses in the dark
surmising
unable to say the truth
denying
hiding
play nice
yet still
there is the knife
Friendship taken for more
what awful gore
innuendos galore

the truth is out
read the encryptions
read the lines
following suit
following suit
this message
will self destruct

Honesty

Honesty By: Miracle Man 8/7/2019 When things go awry, It’s man’s nature to place blame. Accusations and innuendos, Become the name of the game. While ignoring the shortcomings, In our own persona. We explore our list of prospects, Seeking out our next Jonah. But when good things happen, Pertinent facts we’ll edit. Doing our dead level best, To find a way to take credit.

Dreamgirl

shocking the rhapsody of her soul, the multi-faceted jewels — layer upon layer. the hyper-hues of depth and kaleidoscopic threat. would she absorb or attack those who dare to penetrate her contorted web. where does one begin. should she step gently or slingshot her way into this trippy ethereality. the dreamgirl satisfies with innuendos — questions do not breathe. she merely undulates in the sinews of the matrix.

No Guts

Get Some Backbone Written: by Miracle Man 2-6-2020 Social Media has made it easy, for spreading things canard. Always, these innuendos, are geared to leave others scarred. Things implicit in print, with a degree of boldness. While silent to ones face, there’s in the air, a coldness. So we often scratch our heads, questioning what’s true? But sometimes, even fabrications, aren’t hard to construe.

Father and Son

A father was quite contrite
For his son loved him so
But as the son grew
Separation gave them a blow
Innuendos and false promises
Hormones a flutter
Unforgivable names
Shared like butter
The father grew old
The son grew up
Gods plan in the making
Wondrous and tough
A grave alone no
Marker or cross
Son comes home
Unbelievable loss
Tear stained face
But nothing to gain
Empty Will for him
Only himself to blame

Truth

Truth Written: by Tom Wright 2/11/2018 Truth becomes diminished as innuendos persist, Here-say repeating put many on some blacklist. By spreading falsehoods, a reputation we’ll slay, Blathering consumes hours of air time each day. Frequency of repeating makes no narrative so, And oft repeated stories forever appear to grow. An innocently embellished whisper morphs to a lie, We furnish an ear and can’t understand why.

Flower Child Scoop

There is too much hate in the world. Leave it out of the Soup. Here is my flower child
scoop: “Make love not war.”

Eileen Manassian

I'm NOT a flower child, but this quotation from that era is pertinent today. Innuendos
and sarcasm, implications hoping for inferences have no place here. We all need to
heed this advice from Paul.

New International Version (Romans 13:8)
Let no debt remain outstanding, except the continuing debt to love one another.

The Trios

Lofty crafts of sensational creations,
Oily traits dripping affections
Vulnerable hearts somersaulting
Evisaging allusive hyperbole.

Damped dance, complex steps
Elating destruction with a breath
Acreage littered with confetti of gloom
Tainted trails, dainty doom
Hood hoisted, deep-six in hell.

Track embroidered with bramble brier
Innuendos of choices chunk at men
Mid-way mediator of the turbulent twain
End of love, beginning of death.

Poet's Glory

Reading verse with hidden innuendos
Invites imagination to take flight
Interpret it, how the mind then wishes
Enjoying as you read, this cold dark night

I’ve written of the heart and all its virtues
I’ve written of passion, as it soars
I’ve written of inspiration giving
And endless love existing on the shores

For, I am many, never one so destined
To write one style, nor same topic, too
I wish to give you all a variation
To incite the mind is what I wish to do

I Saw and Heard

I saw and heard
i felt the sense of being
                                    looking here and there
                                    i listened
i touched to experience the purpose of being
                                    views
                              revelations
                              illuminations
                              innuendos
                  then understanding drifts in
