Street Eats of Sizzling Meat

Following the food truck trend,
Peruvian fare:
Beef, chorizo, hot dog, eggs
crushing the limp bun—
one “superburger,”
carne clogged.
Split.

Ciao Down

Many women enjoy an hot dog
Whilst others gulp it down like an hog
But real men like best
That wild flavour test
Stormy Daniels describes in her blog!

On a Cocktail Napkin

A dance of fire
and a Rootbeer
smile,
chewing french fries,
watching skin dry.

Hot dog buns show us
the true murderers.
salted pretzels
the sinners.

I Eat

I am what I eat — soup or spam, a hot dog, a burger or lamb. But what do I eat? I will be concrete: I eat pretty much what I am.

Franked

Jill Johns was famous as a hot dog eater
Not a soul in the country could defeater.
But some didn’t go in her mouth
She diverted them to the south.
Now ex-fans dog her as a wiener cheater.

dogs danced the dance
dressed as if in France
with mustard bras
legs gave me pause
did I have a chance?

A fork I did pick up
thinking I might sup
on this chorus line
fancy and fine

Premium Member Wienerwurst Roast

Let’s have a wienerwurst roast said the guy in the red tee.
I thought it was a smart idea; franks always taste good to me.
those franks were delicious roasted over a fire with charcoal.
My bun was laced with pickle relish I ate it almost whole.

Stubborn hunter born again
Couch and bed—new badger’s den
Everything long except legs
If it can’t steal then it begs

A lead paw—they food driven
House train full stop forgiven
Being boss in stare and bark
All the coats from light to dark.

Grocery Poem Xiv

At any given moment, someone is stocking shelves

Putting the ping-pong balls next to the beer,
Ketchup next to the hot dog buns,
Strawberries next to the shortcake mixes.

In the parking lot cherry pits line the concrete gutters

All things in their proper place.

National Hot Dog Day

It’s National Hot Dog Day,
Let’s all celebrate!
I’ll have mine with mustard and ketchup,
And maybe relish on my plate.
Piled high with onions,
Chili, or some cheese,
I’ll eat my favorite hot dog—
Can I have a footlong, please?

Wait… what does footlong even mean?

The Wedding

Arriving late, I find
the service almost done.
They're waiting at the altar,
the wiener and the bun.

All ears now strain, to hear
the parson's monolog,
"And by the powers vested in me,
I now pronounce you one hot dog."

Hot Dog

My dog sometimes has the desire
To lay too close to the fire,
To the warm hearth he succumbs
His favorite spot when winter comes.

One night when tranquility prevailed
An exploding spark got on his tail,
He yelped so loud my canine friend,
I had a hot dog with one burnt end.

It’s Regal Lager
Anyway you look at it
Forwards or backwards

Just grab a hot dog
Slop some mustard on it
Relish if proffered

Take a squishy bite
Then wash it round with Regal
Soak it up with chips

Grab another dog
Another beer it’s summer
Forget the paunch the hips

A hot dog is made of the remains of the pig after other parts are cut off and sold as bacon, sausage patties, and ham. However many people across the world eat hot dogs and enjoy them very much. Hot dogs can be boiled, grilled, or fried. The word frankfurter comes from Frankfurt, Germany.

I thought I should pen-about hot dogs.

That steaming fragrance...ahhhh..

Add some relish and onions.

Or ketchup, maybe mustard ?

All beef hot dogs send me.

Chicago had the tastiest!

Memories of Midwest girlhood days.

I bet you have hot dog memories, too.

Windy City

The powerful, upward thrust of the skyscrapers The sinewy curves of the lake and the river The throbbing pulse of the trains and the traffic The musky scent of the hot dog carts And the sultry moans of a feral saxophone echoing through the streets. Yes, Chicago! You are a sexy beast!

Take me to a football game,
For a hot dog and beer kind of date.
When our team scores, I will loudly exclaim,
For a play that was so exciting and great!

When they win the band will loudly play,
And we will scream like lunatics in the stands.
With a victory dance to end the day,
We will proudly leave hand in hand.
