Fods of Suumer

I thought I should pen-about hot dogs.

That steaming fragrance...ahhhh..

Add some relish and onions.

Or ketchup, maybe mustard ?

All beef hot dogs send me.

Chicago had the tastiest!

Memories of Midwest girlhood days.

I bet you have hot dog memories, too.

I am always up for a good foodie poem. Though not a huge fan of hotdogs, I sure did like them around a campfire, rather burned and with good old catsup and mustard. ALL BEEF. (kosher, not cow guts. haha)

Hello pangie - This entry was light with a good feel to it - Yes, hot dogs do have a fragrance. Many memories come to mind of cooking on the grill or beach days. Have a wonderful day. Thank you for sharing something we can all relate to.

Lisa...important point you brought up.. " something we can all relate to ". I just did it out of the clear Bue sky. I am not a free verser. Forms lock me in, in a good way, keeps the mind from having liquid brain. It Keeps my thoughts in line. Otherwise, I am lost. Poetry is an art form and a discipline. Many forms not even listed at PS. Thank you, Lisa! Pangie
