Words don’t leap and dance.
They hobble, trip, and fall flat.
Turns of phrase lie dead.

Hobble On Cassidy
Trump and Rudy were watching an oater
Thinking up ways to find one more voter

Drives herd mentality
Let's misquote her and find a promoter!"...

Waterboarding
Stop the
waterboarding
of poems. False
confessions fly and
scarred
they hobble out
bleeding yellow, blue, green
all at once -
sometimes poems don't know
what you think they do....

Pressing On
On shaky ground I find I walk
I hobble and wobble but still I walk
There are shadows that lurk in the dark
I can feel their eyes and see their mark,
But still I walk, I know what I seek....

Goodbye John Mccain
Goodbye John McCain

Trump whole government with us did gobble;
We became poor  and around have to hobble;
All time would wane;
Goodbye John McCain,
Trump stayed fat and should see him wobble.

Psalm 103-3
We’ve all been crippled
in different ways
To hobble or stumble
 alone in our pain
No one is reprieved
as years take their toll
Till that day we return
one body — one soul

When the chef succumbed to his bottle
twenty turkeys escaped without gobble
took an apple and stuck it
where no one would pluck it
so the chef giving chase could but hobble

Premium Member Run With the Wind
When you’re young
  you run with the wind
laugh in the face of time

Of a sudden you’re old
  you hobble, chagrined
    every step a tortuous climb

Though if young knew of old
  as old knows of young
   no melody’d ever be sung...

Eventually all loves will go away.
Either dying off one by one
or simply hobble away to nowhere.

After they're gone
the best we can wish for
is to feel the bones of their kisses
and the soul of memories.

The reward for longevity is loneliness....

Exquisite Biscuit

4987

My wife has elected to make exquisite,
Gravy including a homemade biscuit;
To table hobble,
And up gobble,
Breakfast which was perfect for my visit.

Wasted
Take a sip
It won't hurt
I begin to stumble and trip
Stains on my shirt

Next time is different i say
Then i turn to a bottle
Not able to sound a hey
So ashamed while i hobble

Drinking again they ask
"im fine" i debated
Then i grab my flask
Now i know im wasted...

Heard Big Bird
Heard Big Bird

Some things about Trump we have heard;
When he talks seems to repeat same word;
Around will hobble,
And up food gobble;
His body has been modelled after Big Bird.

This is why Trump wants to defund Big Bird.
Big Bird always reminds him of himself.

Phantom Limb
Similar to a leg ripped loose
you learn to hobble on crutches
but like a phantom limb
the amputation still throbs
long after the wound has closed

Those few precious seconds
between sleeping and waking
you are as you once were
then the awful will of God dawns
then it’s oh yeah, my leg is gone…...

I Love You
I LOVE YOU
(Writing for my beloved wife from her conversation)
I am praying for you free from this trouble
We will hold on together through this bubble
Let's work harder to make everything positive double
I love you forever even we have to hobble

Will You Still Be the Same
Will you still be the same.....?
When I tell you every lie I told,
The Secrets buried deep under the sores,
The smile that fades when the past reflects,
Sleepless Nights 'cause of the days that have left,
The sorrow of touch makes my feet wobble,
Hard to forget the nightmares that make me hobble..
Will you still love me the same...?...

Grave Trail
I used to scamper up and down the La Jolla Trail.
Now I hobble at best and butt slide at worst.
I nearly died 3 times today.
Twice of fright
Nearly once due to the unfair laws of gravity.

Gravity is like old age
It pulls you closer to the ground
You already lie buried in.e
An open grave has but one exit.
But thankfully it’s open all the time....

Hobbling
I hobbled to the river
Which was worth each step of pain.
My bench and sunshine beckoned
So my walk was not in vain.

The early hour guaranteed
No crowds would block my views;
The sparkle of the water
Would be something sad to lose.

There’s not a single thing right now,
While sitting, that I lack
But a better knee would help
When I begin my hobble back....

Premium Member Older Not Smarter
My foot is asleep.
Left it up too long with a heavy dictionary on it.
Could hobble into the house.
Not yet!
Okay.
In two minutes?
My body is screaming NOOOOOOO!
I do not listen.
Let’s make it three minutes, I suggest.
Knowing better in every fiber of my being.
But not caring.
I am getting older,
not smarter.
Stand up.
Collapse.
Break the other hip.
Dhramn!...

Perfectly Uneven
We're built to be uNeven.
In balance or Knot
We're Weaving.

Nature makes it this way
So the earth can sway
Else we'd be hot,
While freezing.

Look to your feet
If you don't believe me.
Touch your skin
Epidermis is breathing.

We wiggle when we wobble
And we giggle when we cobble,
Yes making shoes one too small
So we can hobble? lol!

Now THAT'S perfectly uneven.
Thinking.
;p...

Premium Member In My Shoes
You said you wanted to walk in my shoes.
It could be tricky, too tight or too loose.
You’d wobble and hobble just like a goose
who trips o'er laces, gets many a bruise
when making merry and drinking much booze.
Be warned that my life is hardly a cruise,
I cannot afford to pick and to choose.
I live on my own; I am a recluse!

A Dog Brings Hope
The other dogs, not a one was lame,
they called me "Hobble" cause I limp.
I am hoping you will change my name.
No dog wants to be called a gimp.

I can walk, just don't run very fast
Here’s hoping you don't have a cat.
When it comes to chewing, I'm the best;
I have caused some problems with that.

Say you'll keep me, I'll be friends with you
if you have a cat, I'll learn to cope.
Maybe you can teach me not to chew;
I can teach you lots about hope.

One Shoe
On the road to Timbuktu.
I met a man with just one shoe.

He smiled at me and bid me adieu.
I asked "whatever happened to your other Shoe"?

His reply was this" I gave it to a horse"."
He lost his running the course" I have little remorse"

Walking on the cobblestone. my barefoot all alone.
I must now hobble lopsided to the King's throne.

And at the King's throne I will get a new shoe.
And be on my way to Timbuktu.

And now really I must bid you adieu....
