Lovers' Delight

Eclipse opened up the sea as torch of heavens flare over skies
Symphony of angels heralded the crowning jewels of love
Lovers stood still, stiffening their breaths, bewitched under the sunset.

Planning Adultery Sapphic Verse

PLANNING ADULTERY

Heard his footstep spring upon the stair and stop--
Heard his hand upon the cold brass knob ...and click--
Held her arms as open as her wandering heart could bear--
Heralded her fall...

Time and Gravity

Time and gravity conspire to remind me I'm mortal and subservient to death its approach heralded by wrinkled skin, aching mussels and creaking bones, anticipating its arrival, I wonder which breath may well be my final breath. (Threesome) (01,05,2020)

Helios

Halo over his head
He had piercing, fierce eyes
Had children, some unknown
Heralded much like Zeus,
He rode across the skies
Helios was a fierce competitor
Horae, goddess he wed.

Viking Sword

Blacksmith's massive hands
delivering powerful hammer blows,
beating glowing red steel
into submission.
Sparks illuminating
magnificent artistry.
Fiercely wielded
in the name of Odin.
Tales heralded it's glory.
Unearthed, virtually unscathed.
Instrument of death,
1,200 years at peace.

January

January is heralded with many a cheer
Announcing the beginning of the New Year
Numbing the memories of the old, as it disappears
Uncaring the bitter cold envelopes like a prickly drape
Absolute in its intent to send the frosty chills down your nape
Relentlessly revealing winter’s wondrous delights, as we
Yearn for yesterday’s warm summery nights

Love Fever

Love is not heralded
By lightning strike
Or thunders crash
Nor by Mantovanni’s Violins,
A chorus of heavenly voices
Or 21 gun salute
Love is more subtle
Love is stealthy
Love creeps up on you
When least expected
It seeps into open pores
Unnoticed and unheralded
Then spreads like a virus
Until you are defenseless
And you are hooked
And there is no cure

Dying For a Boy

Unspoken, unwriiten
Subtle strong demand
'A baby boy is it'
Frantic efforts
Pained in shame and silence
Turgid with trauma
Incomplete, insecured
Tried the seventh time
She must have a baby boy'
Sick and tired
Pulling through the ninth month
Lengthened labour, heightened pains
Haemorhage heralded horror
Ceasarian section
'is a baby boy!!'
'A baby boy at last!'
A motherless baby boy!!

Xvi: Siren At Midnight

Innocent weavers
Sat still mourning –
The siren heralded
At midnight
The emergency swords in the rafter
Like a lone early morning cock.

The forest was a terror spot
Helter-skelter in blood-discolouration
Marking a nest of the free?
Terror & anger clashed
Again & again
In man rearing the seeds of the night:
Shrewd pebbles of inviolable intents
And mutilated feathers in a battered nest!

The Rainbow

Cosmic colours spread a rainbow across the sky
From horizon to horizon in nature’s palette on high
As the colours raced to augment the backdrop of the blue
The rainbow’s journey meets the land as it ought to do

The last rain squall of a bright spring day
As the sun is heralded by the rainbow’s display
The gentle colourful arch under which we live
Shows how awesome nature can kindly give.

Our Loving Faith

OUR LOVING FAITH
Aljim B. Lituañas

If Christmas is a time to share
A time to cheer, A time to care
And if it gives us lots of fun
Then it’s a joy for everyone.

It draws a smile in every heart
It shows the loving hands with art
It flows the sea of charity
That bestows us with unity.

Heralded us ‘bout Jesus’ birth
That granted us the ever mirth
Forget the grudge! Forget the hate!
Let’s prove it with our loving faith.

Peace

Peace
By Michelle Morris
16/11/2020

Peace I give to you, freely;
For peace is a gift for all.
May you be blessed to know peace within,
And find peace everywhere you go...

Peace I pray for our nations,
All around the world;
May peace build more bridges,
And tear down dividing walls...

Peace I bless to every home,
For all of life on earth;
May we embrace peace forthwith,
To celebrate His heralded birth...

Twinkle and Shine

Twinkle and shine my little star
Your birth heralded a new
Era in our humble abode
You shine so bright that
Darkness melts before you
Twinkle and shine my little star
For you are the light of the world
That can never be dimmed
Twinkle and shine my little star
You are the moon that
Cannot be covered by
The palm of the hand
You are a city on the hilltop
The cynosure of all eyes
You can do nothing else
But twinkle and shine all the way!

Dismantled

Round heels of crumpets,
aromatic lavender jam.
Poached eggs in a skillet,
succulent portions of ham.
An awakening stretch had heralded
a yawn mouthed long and loud.
While rain fell down in splatters
from the dark pewter clouds.

Dated Macintosh slicker,
hoary exhausted gum boots.
Tenacious steps into nature
in search of family and roots.
The fallacies of the wind
twists hair into long plaits.
Across wide fields of enchantment
new journeys await.

Depature of the Truth

Heralded by the sounds of guns
They came like an ill-wind
Sweeping towards our choices
we fled and upon return
Blood, blood every where was seen

The gun of thunder boomed
Onthe trunk of the toads
We were the toads
Whose choices sunk under-feet
our ballot boxes departed
With the servants of the masters
The lords of our time
Children sent by fathers to steal

We the the Nannies shall go mourning
For the truth has departed
Our choices have departed
The ballot boxes have gone
