In
the
headlines of today,
his fifteen minutes of fame-
ephemeral as footprints in the sand.*
*sand=beach=strand
You would think fortune tellers would know,
for their crystal balls would surely show;
so on Mondays weekly,
why don’t we get to see,
the headlines read psychic wins lotto.
Headlines swirl like restless winds, each gust insisting it is truth;
voices clash in crowded squares, and certainty grows thin.
Yet quiet hearts still listen — seeking light within the noise.
Propaganda all day everyday filled the air and minds:
weak minds read only headlines and never ever dared delve further;
strong minds dared asked what is truth, and finding truth, were canceled.

war, pestilence
earthquake and fire
a baby is born
someone expires
coffee cup in hand
I bring the paper in
wet, from morning rain
i unraveled

the suns travels
the days labor.

more blood

to fill up our cars

Virtual wreaths
Tik Tok of endless sadness
Sunday’s service
Seems so
Useless
Hypocrites
Listen
Good people outnumber the crazies by a bunch
We don't cause a sensation but for that I have a hunch
We should demand the headlines
Instead of these perverted asinines
And make love in the park while having our lunch

But how'd reporters turn blind eyes
To fire-bombings that terrorized
a downtown stunned and traumatized
Why was ugly violence euphemized

loving notion, dying of an overdose of love potion
heavenly dream of an old gent far spent, as mind finishes rent
an old man expires, as beautiful aid rubs back with lotion
