It's a happy-sad ending hour at many bars
Where the parking lots are fool of cars
Where many of these spiteful patrons arrive
And then drink over the limit and some nose-dive
Mothers against drunk driving are calling
Fix your unruly ways because it’s appalling
Hey, driver, I just want you to know
That somebody loves you here below
But if you keep driving the way you do
Too fast to heaven you will get through
And that someone you thought loved you true
Will not wait long to marry someone new.

Jack and Jill went up the hill
At school, this is what we were taught
But abruptly, Jack proposed Jill with a rose
Jill rejected it after a deep thought.
Respecting each other’s view
Their friendship they tried to renew
As true friends they lived their lives ever after.
Let us trust the Lord* for today’s safety
Mindful of child-transport security
Being alert is indeed tough duty
Along our road responsibility…

“clearing those temper demons out”
A bloodied nose, a blackened eye
Drink turns him into a violent guy
Black bruises fade, so does their pain
But the mental scars always remain
I want to leave, I’ve tried and tried
He drags me back, oh how I’ve cried
Held captive - I am a beaten wife
Who can’t escape this abusive life

Wrinkle, wrinkle, dress white shirt,
stains are gone; it’s rid of dirt.
But the crumpled, rumpled look
needs some shaking, so I shook.
How to iron, I did not learn.
If I tried, your shirt might burn;
wear a jacket, do not fret.
Wrinkles vanish when you sweat.
When you take it off, with care
hang it up, the hanger’s there.
That should keep it wrinkle-free;
if it stinks, spray with DEGREE.
