Premium Member Bus Safety - Comp
You're on this bus and safe inside
But please consider those who ride
Or walk or cycle, those on horse back
(Before you eat your lunchtime snack)
And wave and cheer and smile, don't stare..
It's nice for them to know we care x

Traffic Safety Poetry Contest
Miranda Hawley

It's a happy-sad ending hour at many bars
Where the parking lots are fool of cars
Where many of these spiteful patrons arrive
And then drink over the limit and some nose-dive
Mothers against drunk driving are calling
Fix your unruly ways because it’s appalling...

A Gentle Reminder to Drive Carefully
Hey, driver, I just want you to know
That somebody loves you here below
But if you keep driving the way you do
Too fast to heaven you will get through
And that someone you thought loved you true
Will not wait long to marry someone new.

Premium Member Now the Night Is Gone
(Parody of Mother Goose nursery rhyme " Now the day is over")

Now the night is gone
Day is dawning bright
Colors of the horizon
Flash in the sight.

Now joy the new sun brings
Time to rise from rest
Birds will again spread wings
They will leave the nest.

Ensure, not a single student is left alone;
Treat them all as children of your own.
With utmost faith, they board your bus;
Be not the cause of an unnecessary fuss.

We were best friends
Then one on one
Our love was strong
And our stars touched

Up in our dreams
We flew like birds
Pass past dead ends
And cars that crashed

It was us now
Free from our past
We built our nest
On a tree top

Next to a park
That wrapped our gift
Soon seeds took root
To the bird's cries...

1st place

Jack and Jill went up the hill
At school, this is what we were taught
But abruptly, Jack proposed Jill with a rose
Jill rejected it after a deep thought.
Respecting each other’s view
Their friendship they tried to renew
As true friends they lived their lives ever after.

Wrinkle, Wrinkle
Wrinkle, wrinkle, dress white shirt,
stains are gone; it’s rid of dirt.
But the crumpled, rumpled look
needs some shaking, so I shook.

How to iron, I did not learn.
If I tried, your shirt might burn;
wear a jacket, do not fret.
Wrinkles vanish when you sweat.

When you take it off, with care
hang it up, the hanger’s there.
That should keep it wrinkle-free;
if it stinks, spray with DEGREE.
