Pruning

deadhead any grudges
slough off wilted feelings
instill a will to replenish
what was lost with more
abhor stagnation
regain greater growth

In the Blink of An Eye

Taste
The life
In the blink
Of an eye things
Can change forever

Release burdens
Let grudges
Reign peace
Now

Death

Death is inevitable, it must come;
A child, young or old, it spares none.

A very short span of time, we are allotted,
Wherefore defile it with grudges and hatred.

Forgiveness

Holding grudges, what's the use?
Just let go, don't create an excuse,
Shake my hand, let's call a truce;
With forgiveness comes freedom
And the flower of love blooms.

Can Not Let It Slide

When their crossing lines, I wish that I
Could let it go, but no I can not let it slide
I hold grudges and let them eat me up inside
Then blow up and to me it's completely Justified

Nonchalance

the abused
did not roll over
and tamely die

the ‘victim’ just blew
a kiss of love

the void
holds no grudges

the oppressor
inevitably suffered
as hate spewed spread poison

Love Your Neighbor

HEAR the voice of forgiveness in prayer
HEAT up your oven and bake pardon's fare
HEAP up homespun, yummy cookies to share
HEAD on over to that neighbor somewhere
HEAL old grudges and renew Christian care

This Year

Burried the predicaments of my past.
Forgotten the grudges I held inside.
Focusing on having a blast.
With negative people aside.
Hope you all have a great new ride!

Living Tips

Change your life for better loving unconditionally.
Forgive and forgive yourself.
Don't hold grudges or hard feelings.

Wake up with a positive mind.
Smile each time you can.
Accept yourself and be the best you can.

No More Grudges

I once held grudges but I’m done so it’s over

Finally, you can stop looking over your shoulder.

Wisdom came as I got older.

The hate is the weight of a bolder.

It won't take my pain away, it only makes me colder

Grudges

People tend to hold grudges.
Why not forgive, God surely does.
Take more time to really listen.
Because every story has to end.
When a loved one passes, you can't go back.
To say what you wanted, and to see them react.

I Forgive

There comes a time
When old grudges don’t seem
Important any more
But I have thoughts of your deeds

So I use these words
And find it soothing
I forgive you
But I can say
I’ll always remember.

Really Safe

Are there lives at stake?
The risk I'll take.
To help and to save
Like Jesus; His life He gave.
No time to hold grudges
No matter the smudges
Freely give.
Quickly forgive.
Smile extend peace and hope
Help others to cope.

autumn

post a life well lived
as winds of autumn approach ~
death becomes a friend

tree holds no grudges
when weary leaves seek release ~
love bidding adieu

graceful till the end
rust adorns petrichor earth ~
enlivening hearts

What Would Have Happened If

I’d followed the other path,
said “I love you” more,
left those bridges unburned,
forgot those grudges I bore,
hadn’t acted in jealousy,
forgot about envy,
Would the world be better,
if I had taken some secrets to my grave.

Grudge Fudge

GRUDGE FUDGE

I never bear grudges, and I never bear ill,
For these unwanted feelings, can easily spill,
Out of control and seep into our souls,
Destroy our long term dreams and goals,
If we lean towards this, wish it away with will.

Rising In Love

Choosing freedom
Isnt as hard
As choosing bondage,
As choosing scars.

As choosing hatred
To take over your heart.
As choosing grudges
Over new starts

As choosing forgiveness
Over building walls
I chose rising
Over making this a fall.

Jealousy :: Cywydd Llosgyrnog

Jealousy very strong feeling comes from fear, concern of being weak leading to grudges for lack of possessions, position. Builds false, incorrect opinion suspicion, relation soar.

Selling My Old Fridge

Yes, I had you told
My fridge would be sold:
Now tired, quite old
Few times got things cold
My hands I can fold
And stark grudges hold
Against Machines, old
Fridge that won't blocks mold...

Mine is a tongue bold
I oftentimes rolled
To bad Old Fridge Scold.

In Love I Kiss Passionately

In love I kiss passionately
                     In intimacy I caress purposely
Love is in record of acknowledging it
Grudges and envy were peeping with evil intent
And the record is safely stored

Launder Privately

Fight
Argue
In your home
Never outside
Don't ever discuss
Grudges,Issues,problems
Of wedded life with people
The compassion might feel soothing
But your story suddenly grows wings
Wash linen privately, mom always says

I Didn'T Hold Grudges

I suffered,he laughed
I filled up his voids, he created mine.
I looked for roses,he gave cactus
I looked only for his heart,he focussed on my body
I healed all those stitches,he gave me wounds..
I ignored him,he started following
I left him,he cried
I didn't hold any grudges,he holds guilt.

Banish the Hate

Banish the hate from yesterday. Don't carry it around; let it go away. Grudges are held if you let it stay. One way or another, your antagonist will pay. Inside of you, hate will grow like a weed. Bad memories are something you don't need. inspired by another member's poem

Quote Prompt I

I used to think an eye for an eye,
when people didn't talk but bite,
but then I got to thinking more,
do two wrongs make a right for sure,

And when it comes to keeping score,
do holding grudges help me more,
that's why I should forgive and forget,
instead of playing mind game roulette.
