PEACE ON EARTH

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Snowflakes drift like prayers, soft between the rifle barrels~ somewhere a child laughs. The earth exhales its old grudges, wide as dawn, deep as roots hold.
