She's getting ready
Prom night finally is here
orchid pinned on dress
Nervous anticipation
Attempting to be grown up
asparagus fritatta
pickled cucumber
wild chervil and sorrel soup
sweet potato cake
poppy seed crackers
leek tartlet
wine!
missing,
echoing away,
baby's chuckles silenced,
she's grown, she's gone
away
As I've grown older, I've found,
that my body has gotten more round,
as I try it,
another new diet,
I always add another pound.
As I've grown older, I've found,
that my body has gotten more round.
As I try it,
another new diet,
I always add another pound.
Mommy, Mommy, candy cigarettes!
look how many I have got
Then there are some other brands
Can you tell me, What is pot?
Childhood wings kept
hanging behind closet doors
nestled in pockets
in woolen pea coats bright blue
like clear skies meant for flying.
NOTE:the members who are there in potry soup please write a poem on plants grown in karnataka. Kindly write the poem as sooner as you all can
Grown men today will always complain
About how much their paid a wage
When the same men in their lane are paid
At the same rate but dont say anyway.
Once we are grown,
Days are a blur—
Then we bemoan
That all beauty must fade;
Thus it is shown
With no demur:
Youth is a loan
Which cannot be repaid.
The birth certificate is kept
By your mother
The I. D. Card is kept
By your husband
Because you're afraid
Of losing it
Then you're not really
Grown up yet.
Known When Grown
There are many things I have known,
By the time I finally was fully grown;
Did survive;
Remain alive,
And was living alone on my very own.

This might be barbaric of me to say
But I don’t like those who have to have their way
Grown up bullies who yell “you’re fired and such”
Misogynist pigs who are simply out of touch
My passion is burning with hate.
I dislike the environment I am in.
Perhaps it is the surrounding.
It may be the results of my past sins.
I show a strong resentment with dis-taste
A shoot escapes biting this stars ray,
E'er so oft rain splashes near its day,
Lil glow often drawn in braids,
Wind tussles ardent in trades,
A petaled sheath loosens for display.
Grimly grown
into the
youthful
yearnings
towards
being alone.
Within this
wistful world
woefully willing
to wear itself down.
In order to be
branded as
something of
your own.

Should Have Known When Fully Grown
Should always realize and have known,
That after we were finally fully grown;
More we sought;
Learned a lot;
Fruits of efforts are sure to be shown.

God Created Things That Will Be Grown
God created all things that will be grown;
A beautiful mountain top standing alone;
Birds sings;
Bells ringing;
Stars seen in the sky that He has shown.

Grown Miss Muffet put “tuffet” on display
family quickly denounced her as a stray
Muffet found bike rider
who called himself Spider
and, after curds, he and she sped a-whey

Those
days are gone
When anything makes
You Angry or sad ,stressed
You just cry
I am not growing old or tall
I am maturing, not only by shape
but by wisdom.
It has been placed in the furnace of my heart,
burned with the radiance of the sun and been
molded in the storms by God's will until
I have become organic Protea.
a rose is grown on a thorn that once was a lonely heart
as the leaves sink green they cover a screen of its broken past
the nights are long the days are short but the rose still spreads like weeds
and with some time you will find your field is covered in seeds
Not a cloud in the sky; everything’s blue
It’s all fun and games; nothing to do
But then they grew up… and everything changed
The days grew longer; their patient’s grow shorter
The sun went away; they only saw gray
The magic was gone; it was taken away.

It is two forty four a.m.
I work in the morning.
Being up makes no sense.
I have been saying this for an hour.
Getting up tomorrow will be nigh onto impossible.
I have to be a grown up now.
I flip on the TV.
Surely there is a movie I could watch.
Silly me.
a creep, an asshead, joker, fool
he wants to make another rule
a narcissist who wants his own way
the family leaves, not one will stay
tired of his trickery and pouts
even his parents are now on the outs
no one speaks to the grow- up big baby
his attitude as welcome as rabies
