sunny and mild
as the snow-smelt

Eat your leafy greens.
Don't worry. Take it slow.
Go when it's time to go.
That's what a snail says,
and a snail should know.
ribbons of blues grays and greens
surround me in a fortress fit for a queen
the noises so forign to me
where am i the beautiful sea
Form:
Through autumn's kaleidoscope I see
The changing of the leaves
Falling so beautifully
Shades of red and burgundy
Oranges and greens
Form:
Crying softly in the
back seat, as I
wait for endless greens
woods
farms, cows
to stop.
It’s easier to grieve them
out of sight.

COVID-19 did quite a number
On the wife whilst she was in slumber
At first she was mad
But then she was glad
To sleep alone with her cucumber.
Great Grandpa planted lima beans.
A pot of limas and some greens
will always make my day.
It's just a memory away.
I've got limas in my genes.

EAT WELL
Spring Monoku
spring shine spreading carpets of greens with flowers in bloom, joy for the heart.
Greens attached to clouds swirling
Cameras snapping with eyes gazing
Awe running though the mind intriguing
Capturing a moment in time never returning
malachite gentles my willing heart
helps me breathe in natural greens
with her twirling beauty, she enlightens me
a gorgeous gift from our mother earth
A man needs a bloody great steak
But the wife won't give me a break
She says, "Eat your beans
And finish your greens
Or you won't get a piece of cake!"
fall sky littered with leaves red
few young greens kiss empty nest
worn winds heave sighs of lost hope
bidding adieu - laid to rest.
