My Attempt At a Limerick
the neighbor's grass is always greener
and their house is always cleaner
but just remember
that come December
their family won't be any leaner...

Recital Unkind
Grass is always greener at yonder site,
Yet the jealous pangs gain might!
Bowl full of spite,Burns insides!
Septic reaches heart, mind loses insight,
Mouth turns foul, starts the disparage recites!

I Hope
I hope the grass is always greener
on your side of the fence
I hope the flowers woo you
with their lovely scents
I hope your life is filled
with every beautiful thing
I hope love surrounds you
like the sweet, warm days of Spring...

Green Grass
Green Grass

Trials and tribulations
Life and its frustrations
The train awaits me at the station
Do I get on, or let it pass me by?

The grass isn’t always greener
Looking at those who’ve been there
What’s for them isn’t for me
Face life head on
Be who I want to be...

The Ignorant Fools and I
I envy those ignorant fools
Those smiling idiots
Worry nothing

I am mad
Of my own situation
Frustrated but no action

And the ignorant fools
Envy me
That I have a place called home

I can argue all day
The grass is always greener on the other side
But all I have to do is just shut up and be grateful...

Really Really Me
Today, tomorrow, we chase our dreams,
the grass is always greener,
on the other side, or so it seems.
There never seems to be enough time,
to get things done.
Always rushing, here, there, on the run.
Then one day, in the mirror we look,
what do we see?
Who is this person, staring back,
can this, really, really, be me?...

"More and more"
Is all we ask for

"The grass is always greener"
As green as my emotion

"Life goes on"
While we struggle to strive

"Love is real"
Though we'll all never know it

"Money spins the world"
Which is why we're unhappy

"The world's a stage"
And we'll never know our truths

"Sex, drugs, rock n' roll"
I'll get it when I'm dead...

The grass is always greener
So the saying goes
Disillusioned ,unhappy, restless
Tis where the mind flows

Changes are a positive
A brighter shade of green
Moving forward for betterment
Living , fulfilling ones dream

Though one must always be mindful
In seeking the greener side
It is the “SAME YOU” that accompanies you
Let that be your guide!

Green Is
Green is spring's renewal and rebirth.
The indication that things will bloom.
The love of a gardener with a green thumb,
Or green envy for those with brown who think
Grass is always greener on the other side.

Green is the combination of yellow and blue.
It's the color of inspiration and growth.
If I keep a four-leaf clover in my heart
Will the spring songbirds sing?...

U-R the Calm To My Storm...
Unrest is the tempestous,
world seems out of favor...
malignant beseem the superflous,
sour,ill-tempered neighbors...
But...
The grass is always greener,
at your side of our choosing...
you've made me a believer,
love's hallmark unites fusing...
You are,
The soft to my hard
a sheath for my sword,
like whisperings of a bard
you are the calm to my storm.......

Greener, Greener, Greener Still
"The grass is always greener on the other side."
"The sun shines brighter for others and not me."
Boohoo, cry me a river. I have a tiny violin.
You can borrow it when you sing your sob song.
It plays rather well to the tune of, “POOR ME!!!”
Further more the grass isn’t always greener.
For your information my grass is pretty damn green.
They just wont let me walk on it....

If grass is always greener on the other side of the fence that means I would have to mow more grass...

Temptation
Temptation comes in many forms
Some that we can see
Sometimes it will hide itself
And become what it has to be

Like Jesus in the wilderness
Fourty days He did not eat
And in His weakest Moment
Temptation smelled defeat

Jesus never fell to sin
Temptation had no hold
For Jesus saw the Promise
That He Himself foretold

The grass is always greener
Sometimes this is true
But we forget the price we pay
And what it's costing you...

The Grass Is Greener, But
It’s all a matter of perspective
When another’s possessions are craved
Unaware there’s someone behind you
Desiring what’s yours and feels depraved

Somehow, “The Grass is Always Greener,
On the other side of life”, they say
But it’s a matter of perspective
A look behind you may make your day

No harm to wish for things out of reach
If you keep wishes in perspective
Be thankful for the blessings you have
Look behind you and be objective...

Our Own Backyard
What God has joined together
Let no man tear apart
We take these words for granted
And forget about the heart

We're no longer twain
But one flesh eternally
Divorce has become much easier
Than what it used to be

What happened to our wedding vows
Back when we both agreed
Our love was more important
Than any other need

The grass is always greener
Has gotten in our way
If we'll just see our own backyard
Then that's where we will stay...

The Grass Is Always Greener
The stares burn my skin, I fail to conform, becoming faded in the world. Only one choice: follow others or be forgotten, The ropes hold me back, forcing me to forget myself. I feel the pressure to categorize who I am, Labels controlling the way we act: Sexuality, gender, and friends, Without a choice I'll never be accepted. I choose to separate from the conformist ideology that constricts who I am. I choose to find the greener grass on the other side.
