Our Own Backyard

What God has joined together
Let no man tear apart
We take these words for granted
And forget about the heart

We're no longer twain
But one flesh eternally
Divorce has become much easier
Than what it used to be

What happened to our wedding vows
Back when we both agreed
Our love was more important
Than any other need

The grass is always greener
Has gotten in our way
If we'll just see our own backyard
Then that's where we will stay
