Premium Member Trump's Lost Grasp

So desperate for attention
He foments vote-count dissension

Midwinter Night's Grasp

Caught in midwinter night’s grasp
My windfilled eyes brim with tears

But what are tears in the dark

When the snow

fills my heart

with the light

of dying

stars

The winter was long, cold, and gray, Till spring finally headed our way. With the melt and the thaw, The worst sight I saw, Was where the sun doesn't shine every day.

Beyond Your Grasp

One of life's challenges
is to find your own speed

Where travel is constant,
 destination in sight

Too fast,
 and yesterday abandons your future

Too slow,
and memory stretches beyond your grasp

The Demons That Grasp Me

Demons grasp my soul,
as I drown in my own tears,
they pull me into hell,
I cry out in despair,
their claws tear through me,
the pain that I cannot bear,
my body refuses to fight,
I become a ragdoll,
As they feast upon my soul,
Death,
Is inevitable

To Grasp Space Rocks

Hand me down the strength
to whisper and wail like the gods of lore
to tinkle and trample their ears
ride on asteroids,
hands up in the air,
hats catching wind,
and we lose them.
Dig them spurs in deep, gal;
this ride don't stop till Future-time
hath come.

Within Grasp

There was something in the breeze on that day,
Perhaps an idea by which he was dethroned
Or rather he abdicated
And all this while he had her at arms reach though never enraptured
It was on that day he would pine for her only to capture the fading traces of a wraith.

Grasp

forget
slip my mind
nothing really sticks
simple mind
let it go
never really trying to grasp
to hold on tight
let them believe
habit being formed
now I can't stop
act becomes reality
why can't I remember
why does it all slip my mind
why am I not how they see me

Premium Member In My Grasp

bottom of a bowel
of jagged rocks
slender bristling pines
ring a ragged sky
through which slips
slivers of warmth
hugging me like a child
on this crisp morning

life on the line
wiggling wriggling
jumping
splashing, flashing
slippery, cold, and firm
in my grasp

Beyond His Grasp

What man can’t understand
  he often chooses to believe

Where lying just beyond his grasp
  all faith and dogma bleed

What man can’t understand
  he follows blindly ill conceived

A void to fill as darkness hides
 —a fantasy supreme

Premium Member It's Raining

At first dark clouds
then a droplet fell.
Gathering strength,
small puddles
appeared
and began to swell.
It's raining! It's raining!
My neighbor joined
in my cries.
Is it the rain,
or tears in my eyes.
I reached out
my hand
as if to grasp
the heavenly spigot
to make it last.

Winters Grasp

Winters grasp crippled the fingers,
encased this mind in an icy block,
a season that continues to linger.
Through all, heart beat like wings of a migrating flock
constantly surging thoughts of a love
that kept me from a cold dark fate.
As this world around warms for the dove
my mind slowly begins to dilate.

In Our Grasp

In all of life there is a time...
a time for caring,
a time for loving,
a time for sharing.

We beg for that time - we bless its arrival...
that time connects us,
it makes us whole,
it cares for our souls.

We squander some of it,
we demand more of it,
but in the end...
we only have those precious moments.

Grasp With Indifference

You till the land;
Nose stinks of sand.
You water throat;
Tum suffers gloat.

Like no difference;
Hope paints absence.
Like dreaming soil;
Seedlings seem spoil.

Cum every phase;
Fruits count on days...
Cum every need;
Mouths wish to feed...

Those that till..., stay!
Those for fruits..., stray!

aphid trap and liquid feed
ladybird heaven,yes indeed!
I love phosphate & nitrate soil

all this for free,at no cost!
Okay,okay,yes I sting
but for you its win,win,win!

Firmly In Her Grasp

Firmly in her Grasp

Captivated by this beauty,
my heart held firmly in her grasp.
Sweet, just like a mango smoothie!
Captivated by this beauty
Superstar, I am her groupie
and I feel up to the task.
Captivated by this beauty,
my heart held firmly in her grasp.

He Ripped His Hand From Her Gripping Grasp

He ripped his hand from her gripping grasp
Upon the reentry of my eyes
She’s taking a drag
On a lowly, loathed fixation
Yet his hypocritical heart hunts for it
But they aren’t conjoined ceaselessly
For my presence is an unbinding force
But if you love her
Tell her
And hold her
Don’t let my existence
Rot your heart and your hands

GRASP the future by the tail
And HOLD on for the ride
CLASP the VINES that help you SOAR
Before the folks who GLIDE
GASP for breath
And CLUTCH the breeze
That blows behind your sail
Rainbows viewed by attitude
Are HUED as we INHALE.

In Hopes of Hold & Grasp

face-down

why not
  look...

we haven't
   yet

joined
          the
              whispy
                         dust,

and we
  can't

hide
       our
            very
                 essence

away forever,

in hopes
  of

   hold
& grasp

Premium Member shedding sorrow's grasp

 sequestered in a
      somber sepulchre
where I relinquish
              dead memories
and iced nightmares
       upon resting ivy,
twisted
    with rotting thistle
I'm no longer
    able to breathe
             pulverized pain
as I shed this
      stitched-on hollow skin
resuscitation under
               Jupiter's moon

Grasp

Face to face
with harsh realities.
Have to wonder,
what is there to fight for?
Can't catch my breath,
as everything catches up.
Am I alone?

Trying to hold on,
after getting lost
so many times.
Living on the edge
doomed to darkness
and despair.
It feels like,
there's nothing left.
A small noise of hope,
it rang out.
But it's out of grasp...

Premium Member Hard To Grasp

A concept very hard to grasp:
Remove a thought the mind has clasped.
And though we struggle, though we try
We won’t pick up the reason why.
It’s right there, right within our grip,
Yet tightening, our fingers slip.
We cannot free ourselves of thought
Ensnared within the neurons, caught.
By this, our efforts are undone:
Our brains, one-way, opposable thumbs.

Whirlpool of Fate, Siren Grasp of Quicksand

I forget what form of poetry this is (wrote it for English class a while back.)

Swallow within your own, Panic!
Wriggling in its strong grasp, Suffering!
Subdued beneath its murk, Frantic!
Twitching weakly with hope, Flickering!...

Peacefully captive lost soul, Unspoken…
Recalling events long past, Ebbing…
Neglected feelings pour out, Broken .
