An Allegation
The gospels had a readership at the time, full of implied meanings,
Of course, what was implied then, wouldn’t be implied today
Where would you Christians be without Mary and Joseph having sex before marriage?...

The Gospels

And other writings

Are narratives of

Life as seen

Through the lens of

Separation..

Includes the possibility

Of a new narrative

Of the empty nature

Of all appearances of

Separation......

We saw the barren elm in gray despair
In wet drifting fog, the talons reaching
Nebulous vapor in the slicing air,
Then to disappear, our hearts beseeching
Every emerald leaf to cluster there:
Reappear anew, spring gospels preaching....

Sky High
Gospels in the mist of making news
With spirit agenda
Fading blues
Picking up lows
Making highs
Clapping of hands
Stomping of feet
What is this thing
Ridding defeat
Some say holy
Others holy what
You have to feel this thing
That's that...

     Lord, you left the flock

to seek the last, least and lost-

     that stray, lonely sheep.

How profound your love for all

rooted in such worth of one.

Songs
SONGS
The music that I played to sing
Made no felicity to the brains that entered
But the true life it gospels,
Is a handful to make the day of a Bigwig.

Ferry the song to your songs
Make the aroma arouse inmates of life abbey
Every song is a bicker
That biffs every ingredient of normality...

The Calling of the Disciples
Dont look upon me Stork Christ, please!
Scatter! I among the many flee,
Down into the darkened leaves.

Pierced his side, my neighbor's squeak,
Skewered 'long the Holy Beak,
Glory to the chosen Meek!

Feel with relief my scaly coat,
Spared the path of which the Gospels wrote
Cast and gobbled down His throat....

There's Scarce a Word As Ominous
There's scarce a word as ominous,
As the word 'belief'
The Gospels yield terror
As oft they do relief

A damnation unremitting,
The wage of unbelief
Is to me as comforting,
As capture to the thief

Placebo
The will of God, e'er take
me to my knees,
your Spirit, so astringent
cleansing, free!

Ne'er given to imply
a church of greed
attendance, and deny
as fate takes fee!

What is the Godly why
where the decree
in Gospels wrenching cry
wanderings spree!

With Hope our mind's comply
Christ's heart receive
in apathy's restraint
placebos flee!...

Customers of Greed
Some men on plenty feed,
Yet customers of greed,
The rash cankerworm breed,
Never there for your needs,
Worsening them like weeds...

I know a Shameless Steed,
Who'd never Gospels heed:
Pleased with Satan's own seed:
His best point: can minds read
Plus nice Jackets of Tweed
But paupers with Steed plead
And shake him not like reed....

poets, the evergreens,
their poems, the word
gospels that didn't make
the big book like
birds on overhead wires
accidentally perched
in the sequence of a
Beethoven symphony
but those words divine,
while I figure out grain
on half lit wooden floors
reduced, now, to poems
in pyjamas, oh my life,
delayed, enforcing other
immortalities...

Music of the Night

Summer nights of back porch gospels
Choirs of crickets – cicada harmonies
Bass lines full of bull frogs croaking
Grasshoppers toe tapping all in time
Neon rhythms of lightning bugs –
Cadence of Katydid’s chirping beats -
Phantom fireflies - soul music of the night.

Vibrant palms pulsate with healing power;
current of love in constancy humming,
aligning all in its blissful shower,
magnetic pulsation enlivening;
the divine energy soul uplifting.
The shift within which thus does enable,
affirmed time and again in the gospels,
being simply getting to emptiness,
core magnetised and consciousness stable,
unifying us with the That Oneness.

Premium Member This Ones For the Gals
What gospels on sunday afternoon
Are four quarters male members tune
With flat screens on wall?
The chair-men want football
And shall yell like a wild baboon

Author's note: This poem was inspired by Lori Hopkin's "This ones for the guys" which is worth a good look. My apologies to all baboons who are much gentler and finer than I. Sad to resort to using their species as a stereotype just for the sake of a rhyme....

First Trimester
First Trimester

It always begins
like indigestion,
slowly at first,
then full bore.
Either way,
I need relief.

But no antacid
can abort a poem
so I have to stop
and take dictation.

I’m no Matthew, Mark
Luke or John.
They wrote the Gospels
by Divine Inspiration.
I’m on my own. And so
when words cascade

I grab my quill.
I have no choice.
I have to stop
and take dictation.

The Lord Carried Me
My Lord is the single path in the sand
Heavy with my load

As I am broken and tired
And felt like I could no longer prevail

He is my Rock
My Strength
My Hope, My Salvation

He has guided me with wisdom
Spoken to me through the gospels
Shown me the way

The devil may try to lead me astray
But I will do as I’ve been told
as I sold my soul to him long ago

Krishna In My Dream
When ripples rested in heart......
Lullabies of morning breeze,
Took me to the garden of heaven.

Angels danced, perfumes of hidden flowers
Fragrances to my filthy soul.
Golden chariot adorned in
Blue diamond petals stood before me

Saw a divine being riding white horses
Spreading blue light everywhere......
Gospels in Gita flashed in my mind for a while

When I lost myself in ecstasy,
Peacock feathers tossed neck and
Moved away from me....

Essentia Omnis
I don’t believe in Jesus,
I don’t believe in Buddha,
I don’t believe in Allah,
I don’t believe in Zeus

I don’t believe in Fairy Tales,
I don’t believe in Santa,
I don’t believe in Unicorns
I don’t believe Dr. Seuss

I don’t believe in Proverbs,
I don’t believe the Gospels,
I don’t believe in Dharma
I don’t believe their Creeds

But I do believe in Beauty,
I do believe in Truth,
I do believe in Love,
And—I do believe in me
