Music of the Night

Summer nights of back porch gospels
 Choirs of crickets – cicada harmonies
Bass lines full of bull frogs croaking
 Grasshoppers toe tapping all in time
Neon rhythms of lightning bugs – 
 Cadence of Katydid’s chirping beats -  
Phantom fireflies - soul music of the night.

James Inman August 25, 2020 at 6:19 PM This is truly the music of the night. I remember, as a child, lying in bed listening to the frogs and cicadas singing so loudly it was difficult to fall asleep.
