Premium Member Thanksgiving Sin

If gluttony is a sin –
          then count me in

I’ll ask forgiveness tomorrow
          for leftovers again!

Gluttony

Two garden snails met by the way,
and one of them had this to say;
“Last night I did manage,
to eat half a cabbage,
now I feel a mite ‘sluggish’ today”.

Gluttony Tony 2k11

Stomach grawling, lusting mouth frothing above.
Much gluttonousness no matter the mood.
Gluttony Tony hungers not for love;
Though on the contrary indeed loves food.
Form: Quatrain

Divulgence

I confess I convincingly committed contemptible crimes
Beguiling bewitching beauty beyond my bona fide bounty
Gazed galvanic glances guiltily
Thus glamorized God's grave gluttony.

Premium Member The Vegetarians

Greeness they swollen
Raw or cooked
In a non-meat and non-gluttony way
A truely remarkable act of
Protection of wild life and pets
Maybe a good proposal for
A future memorial day

Confession

I admit I approximated akin adultery
Abusively allowing my abominable abstinent eyes
To absorb abstract, alluring beauty around me
Gazed galvanic glances guiltily
Thus glamorized God's grave gluttony.

Dear Pastor, please feel free
to preach the truth to me
on lying, prying, crying,
on trying, sighing, dying
but, I beg, not gluttony.

Premium Member A CROWN OF HORNETS

For what is pride but an ego's false facade

Greed a fallow field of need

Lust a liars claim of love

Wrath a harbinger of hate

Gluttony a beggars fitful dream

Envy a failures silken cloak

Sloth an active acquiescence
sin

Premium Member Turncoat Flavor

All
of our
picnic dates
like summer heat
became memories;
Now with a little bite
gluttony turns my stomach;
A taste I once loved makes me sick;
Starve or should I indulge my cravings?
I can’t let turncoat flavor wake a ghost.

Loves Gluttony

I
Want you,
Do you know?
I’ve come to see
Passion in you, grow.
You tease me, you complete,
You will be my tasty treat.
I hunger for your gentle touch.
Oh, my sweet, I want you just too much.
Now, my dear, it is time for us to eat.

The masses are blind
to the concentration camps
over five thousand children separated
tell me what is a child's crime?
this Christmas as you dabbled in gluttony
remember the weak and needy
you left behind
remember too
Hitler had laws

A beer

A beer

My person is not built to work all the time.
I want to enjoy life...
My way...
I already had my career and it sucked
Selfishness and greed
I do not like
I love what I am doing
But I get tired ...
So I have a beer …

Dinnertime

GLUTTONY

We hunger for the salted tales
of bland and spiceless lives
We gorge ourselves on tasteless news
as soon as it arrives
We savor cuts of bigotry
then stuff ourselves with hate
While grinding on the rumor mill
that seasons up our plate
Form: Rhyme

Sins

Every sin is a way to get better
Its not GREED if you want extra
The lazy SLOTH need not do all
When is VANITY classed a fall
Is it wrong to LUST after health
Or take extra PRIDE in yourself
For sure GLUTTONY is hunger
I think the ruler ENVY the sinner
Form: Rhyme

Premium Member Measuring Vice

A serving size they say is wise
Never issued a measuring cup
Nobody led with avoid demise
Here take a sweet nothing, yup!

How do you quantify gluttony?
Misrecognition from the start
Is it hunger or just bad company?
The hollow sale of a poisoned dart

Share and Care

Make the most of the little you have and share that little extra with someone else, there’s no need to live in luxury and gluttony is a deadly sin, so stay away from greed. So indeed be pleased to witness and see, the honesty and positives in ones struggle in poverty.
Form: Ballade

Them Carbs

Have some more scones with jam and cream,
And a mound of spuds for tea,
Then you'll find your obesity,
With them carbs will be your mortality,
It is your responsibility,
To limit your own gluttony,
There are, indeed, bad calories,
Carboholics eat too much, you see!
