Walk along the beach and see the waves break
As the glistening sun rises above at day-break
Take a glider into the bright blue hazy sky
When you see a majestic eagle flying by

Count you blessings each and every one
And know the world for its beauty never done.

Covid Anxiety

With head hung low I display my dread,
like a blindfolded person I can’t see what’s ahead.

I no longer strut like a perky street glider,
but remain holed up like a trap door spider.

Before leaving the house for some daily task
I hear, “wear your gloves and don’t forget your mask”

Not venturing out but for my weekly essentials,
And occasionally I’m asked to see jab card credentials.
