In the name of God, gathering a crowd,
witch-hunting the downtrodden and meek,
crass and callous is the cacophonic din,
shrouding love and light, each of us seek....

Picturing how he works his way, 
Trying his capability; pleading Nature for his life back.
As the going gets helpless, 
The drowning man makes scratches at the bank of the rushing brook;
 Gathering a sum of clay tightly in his fist; 
Death has his hands on him, 
Moving alongside him, through the mindless brook; 
Bearing him without mercy; stealing from humanity so helpless....

A dying face in static pose
appears like palely marbled stone. 
In bed its normal, I suppose, 
that snowy flesh has milky bone

The falling flakes that feel for air
or wander lost in foreign land, 
once swiftly danced with tango flair
not gathering a frozen hand.

But snow dissolves in water fast
as ice releases silver drops, 
then whitened limbs relax at last
when floppy clocks their ticking stops. 

Yet hardened frost in death's repose
resurrects words that poems compose...
