Jane's red hat flew
When the wind blew

They are all found

Ode To Garfield
Garfield is quite the cat
Although too lazy to chase a rat!

Has a bear named Pooky; Chicken named Stretch
But can treat John like a wretch!

Picks on Odie; Poor little dog
And can sleep like a log!

So if you want to meet a cat
Read Garfield; He's funny and fat!...

Garfield the cat
                                                        So lazy and fat.
                                                Lasagna his favorite treat.
                                                    That cat loves to eat.

Pride of Place
Garfield sits with hooded eyes of distain
Claiming the computer shelf as his domain
With a smirk resembling a grimace of pain
From to much commotion he craves mundane

Gifted to girl who he thinks may be insane
Too much excitement, like a run away train
Forty years together but he can't complain
When she sleeps, he drinks her champagne

Poor Precious
Precious was a friendly kitten who didn't get to grow into a cat.
He was only two months old when he died and I really hate that.
It was very sad when that kitten died.
When people lose kittens, it tears us up inside.

He sat in my lap and purred because he was happy.
When a kitten dies so young, it is always crappy.
Precious was the same color as Garfield.
It will take a while for this wound to heal....

Garfield
(This is a fictional poem)

Last month I bought Garfield the cat.
Several hours later I really regretted that.
He kept eating all of my food and kicking my dog off the table.
I wanted to afford food for him but I wasn't able.

Last week I couldn't believe what I saw.
Garfield took a dump on my new couch and that was the last straw.
I put him in a box and shipped him over sea.
I feel sorry for the person who gets him in Germany....

"Goldie, I've noticed how some of my friends look like their pets
There's no resemblence between us and ...yet

I just lost my two front teeth and can't hardly eat
What is this I see you've lost two front teeth and can't eat meat

You're fur is so pretty for I love the Garfield orange color
It is colored just like my big brother's or

Maybe mine when in the bright sunshine
But you and I are not alike I decline."

definition for decline: refuse to accept...

"Give me coffee and no one gets hurt" Jim Davis's Garfield, the cat

I just woke up; it’s coffee time.
I’ve craved strong brew for fifty years.
With flavored creamer—Umm, sublime!
I just woke; it’s coffee time.
I’d lose my rhythm and my rhyme
without this serum that endears.
I just woke up; it’s coffee time.
I’ve craved strong brew for fifty years.
