Pride of Place
Garfield sits with hooded eyes of distain
Claiming the computer shelf as his domain
With a smirk resembling a grimace of pain
From to much commotion he craves mundane
Gifted to girl who he thinks may be insane
Too much excitement, like a run away train
Forty years together but he can't complain
When she sleeps, he drinks her champagne
