Larry the lamb loved to frolic,
While the others were quite melancholic,
He would stagger and amble,
Then leap up and gambol,
Like a totally smashed alcoholic!

Hakuna metata

Hakuna metata

In the fields
of broiling air
plump lambs gambol.
The daytime star
smiles and whirs;
a lone tortoise toils
in plodding rhythm.
His docile baritone sings
the timeless chorus
“Hakuna metata!”
to fretting lions
who grapple tousled
and tangled.

Springtime paints such a delightful scene Cute lambs gambol in the fields so green Warm winds whisper through the leafy trees Blossoms float down on a swirling breeze Daffodils daintily dance and shake their heads Bringing bright yellow sunshine to our flowerbeds 3rd February 2015

Bright butterflies love warm weather
They sometimes settle on beautiful blooms
Tall tulips, pretty pansies,
Lush lilacs, see vibrant visitors.
Little lambs drink mum’s milk
Then gambol gaily on green grass
Flora, fauna of scenic spring

Random Thoughts **48** Double Acrostic

**Angel Food**

Amorous glances of romance enhance
New love. in a heat of passion we
Gambol in our birthday suit
Ensemble... your scent wafting,
Lilac and passion fruit, we tussle..

Felicity, love with such simplicity,
Obsession through adversity,
Overjoyed in our continuity... a
Delicacy, healthy like my Angel Food...

PARTY MIX Sun sparks in yellow daffodil. The small and great - a party mix. What festive dance of gambol-ville! Sun sparks in yellow daffodil. The dynamic and minute thrill - the open bud and star’s high kicks. Sun sparks in yellow daffodil. The small and great a party mix. 3/28/2022

A Very English Poem

The daffodils are never flattened by tornados,
the little lambs always enjoy a pleasant Spring,
and oft they giddily gambol.
The sun is not too warm nor cool,
the sky steadfastly blue.

Wordsworth took a walk
and wrote yet another pleasing poem
regarding the green grass and
softly rolling emerald hills -
no mention of rainstorms
or hurricanes.

In America, we read
of such pleasant,
pastoral perfections,
but most,
sensibly,
refuse to believe them.

Beauty of Black Tupelo and Biloba-Ginkgo Fallen Leaves

i wished to plant the seedlings of black tupelo
shumard oak, sugar maple, biloba-ginkgo
for its reddish yellowish beauty on the meadow
For its dance on the air with the wind blow

green all were lured to my eyes
but now on the midcourse of the fly
from its bole by death dry and cleave

autumn birds hovering on the air
trying to catch falling leaves
while children gambol on colorful litter-leaves on the soil
before the wind push it far and make all spoil

Wearing Out

For most of the people I know,
Our ages are starting to show
And since eyes, hips and knees
Don’t come with warranties,
To replace them’s the best way to go.

Thus, for cataracts or the main joints,
Pain or blurriness usually points
To a doctor who will
Send a Medicare bill
When a new lens or bone he anoints.

Just like houses and care, things wear out
And it isn’t enough just to pout.
Let the surgeon repair
What needs fixing, so there
Will be years left to gambol about.
